In our family I guess we like blue water bottles! What does your water bottle say about you? Here’s to drinking more water, being grateful for fresh water, and not using plastic water bottles.
What can I say... I write on my arm like a kindergartener because there are so many weights I can’t remember what I’m suppose to do next... mom brain maybe?!?! This is the first time I’ve taken a picture and poses with my arm in over 6 weeks... is it weird that I’m proud of it?
I have no idea how many inches are off of it and I know the scales has not changed in weeks... buuuuttt I put my shorts on today that I didn’t before picture in and they fit waaay better 👊🏼 so I’ll take that win!
Also... an update on my big ass water bottle... I downed my 128 oz at work last night and am half way through it again today!

I was totally pumped to do #allthethings on Oct 1, but was completely deflated by day two, when I had to put my sweet Oliver to sleep 🐾 🌈. A day to mourn (aka lie in bed ALL day and cry and snuggle Beanie and be served my favorite meals) was my excuse for “I’ll start tomorrow” then “I’ll start next week” then “I’ll start next Monday”. Fifteen days went quick and next Monday is TODAY🙌🏽.
My original #5tothrive action plan hasn’t changed, so for the next 75 days I promise:
-I will not hit snooze
-I will drink 56 oz of H2O
-I will be more aware & grateful
-I will exercise
-I will not eat fast food (those last two, god help me).
Becoming a better version of myself by changing 5 “things” and NOT quitting on myself... I’ve got this. You do too!

Today’s Whole 30 recipe was one I made a few weeks ago but is one of my FAVORITES and this fall weather is calling for it!!! ❤️ Greek Cinnamon Beef Stew for the win!! My house smells amazing and I made a double batch this time to last me all week!! To be successful on our health and wellness journeys we have to do the following things:
1) Food prep at least for a few days at a time (meals and snacks ready to go)
2) Take care of our temples by working out even if it’s just walking daily. Movement is key in this life to keep our bodies healthy and always moving as we age.
3) Making sure we are eating a variety of foods to fill in our nutritional gaps. Since it’s nearly impossible to do, supplementing with premium vitamins and minerals to ensure we are getting everything we need.
4) Drinking half of our body weight in ounces of water daily. Yeah, this does mean peeing more but it’s so important to remove toxins, with weight loss, lubrication of our joints, helps prevent dehydration, headache prevention and helps with many health concerns. Drink up!
5) Positive mindset to start our day and keeping our minds on our goals to stay on track. The way we think will have EVERYTHING to do with our success!! We can do it, we just have to believe in ourselves and be positive!
6) Surrounding ourselves with people with similar goals and mindsets to help us grow and want to become better and better!! YOU are worth it! Take care of you and do what makes sense for YOU! 6 months ago you would have NEVER caught me anywhere without some concealer AND foundation on my face. My skin was in really bad shape. It was dull, dry, and so unhealthy looking. And while I have NEVER been a makeup expert or anything, I always had to lather my face with makeup because I was so embarrassed to go anywhere without it. I would post before pics but I'm too embarrassed 😩😩 This month will be 5 months for us with being vegan, and while my skin is not perfect, I still have problems with blemishes..there has been a HUGE change in it. My eating habits have given it a glow...its crazy. It glows and looks moisturized. I only cover up some problems areas, but for the last months or so, I have not worn any foundation on all of my face (unless it's a special occasion). I NEVER EVER thought that there would come a time where i would be able to go practically make up free! What you eat DOES affect your skin!! I love what plant based eating has done for me. I love fall! It’s my favorite season! I love the cooler weather for sure but it’s harder for me to remember to drink my water 💦 💧! So I flavor it with infused fruits or veggies! You know those kids who hate gym, the ones who don’t dress out ever. They walk the mile and just sit on the side and don’t participate.
That was me. I’ve always hated any kind of physical activity. Working out, nah I’m good. The feeling I’m about to throw up, the red face, the sweat. No thanks.
I’ve been hearing a voice for a while telling me to get up and get moving. We are only given one body so use it and take care of it. It’s been 2 weeks. I’ve had 2 stomach viruses during the process but I haven’t given up.
I enjoy the sweat, I feel energized after. Refreshed and ready to finish the day. I am working towards the results I want and not giving up until I get there. It hasn’t been perfect but that’s ok because nothing is. Not giving up is all that matters 😼💪🏻
