Happy Father’s Day to all the dad’s out there! Here’s mine, he also doubles as my best buddy🤷🏼♀️💕
Quick reminder that practicing health & wellness includes taking care of yourself, being smart, and listening to your body! It’s not all about going to the gym and counting macros (I don’t count macros but still). Sometimes the smartest thing to do is rest! I had 7 games in 90 degree weather this weekend, 5 of which were plate games (meaning wearing all that equipment😩). If I hadn’t come in hydrated (HydrateOrDIEdrate) and continued to do so throughout the day (even tho the last thing I wanted to do was eat/drink anything), I probably would’ve ended up like one of the 15 or so umpires that couldn’t finish games and had to have someone come in for them. Little things like making sure you are eating well and drinking enough water can really save the day on days like this! And while part of me thinks I should go to the gym tonight, the smart part of me is saying I should stay home, rest & recover so I can have a kick ass week 👊🏻 & that’s what I’m gonna do🤷🏼♀️ •
I know - weekends can be tough, here are some tips on staying on track when you’re out to eat!!
1️⃣check the menu before you get there! Know what you’re going to order so you don’t get tempted with something else when seeing the menu!
2️⃣eat a small snack or meal before you go! That way you’re not stuffing your face with your meal.
3️⃣drink A LOT of water, it’ll help to keep your stomach full and help with the sodium intake!
4️⃣be difficult! Ask the waiter/waitress to cook your food with no oil/butter! Restaurants tend to use a lot to give the food better taste!
5️⃣Enjoy your meal!! If it’s your cheat meal for the week don’t get too caught up on the food!
‼️REMEMBER: Portions at restaurants tend to be MUCH larger than a normal portion size! Listen to your body and stop eating when your comfortable and full, don’t get to the sick, tired and bloated feeling.
I’ve been having a little brain fog lately. Not a good feeling for someone like me. It is due to low iron levels. It is extremely important that I keep up with my supplements, but I realized recently I’ve been inconsistent with my #chlorophyll As someone who is prone to anemia this is a nooooo noooo. So today I spent $30 at #erewhon with a brain tonic tea, more chlorophyll and the E3 tonic shot. I am not giving advice, but I am just saying...the earth has everything you need. The key is knowing what your body needs. I have studied this for 10 years. I refuse to take unnecessary medications.
