There are a lot of variables to this but @kyle.coughlan created a great post giving a general breakdown based on your weight. I weigh 180lbs so 180 ÷ 2.205= about 82kg. At least 9 cups a day for me depending on my activity level👍🏻
There’s no doubt that water is probably the most important thing we have to ingest.
But, how Much Water Should You Drink?
✅Decided to post this because I’ve been getting many questions asking about how much water you should be drinking!
✅After doing the research on this topic hydration is quite complicated and it varies due to many different factors such as age, gender, weight, height, fitness level, type of activity, duration of activity, etc.
💥However, new guidelines were published by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies for Hydration DURING Exercise:
💧Drink no more than 1 cup of water every twenty minutes.
💧You can also weight yourself before and after you exercise to get a sense of how much fluid you typically lose. One pound is equivalent to approximately 700ml of fluid.
❗️Hydration is more than just drinking water! When doing intense activity or activity lasting longer more than 20mins (sweating), you must replenish your: 💧SODIUM, POTASSIUM and MAGNESIUM.❤️ (electrolytes)
💚These minerals are responsible for many essential chemical reactions in your body that allow your muscles to contract, as well as your brain and cells to perform.

So you’ve probably heard this a hundred times already well you’re about to hear it the hundred and oneth time. You need to make sure you’re drinking enough water. This is keyyy to healthy skin, hair, body you name it and right now you’re probably feeling like ‘well I drink enough water so I don’t need this’ but I’m here to tell you if you aren’t taking up to 8 cups/glasses of water a day it’s not enough sis. You need to drink more water and I know it’s sounds really easy to do but for some people not so much. Drinking more water will not kill you just need to make sure you take two glasses once you wake up, one glass in between and with meals and before going to bed.
-Your Brain is strongly influenced by hydration status so this is why we get headaches when we’re dehydrated so drinking more water will prevent headaches and suppress migraines.
-What we all strive for, healthy and glowing skin. Drinking more water helps flush out toxins in the body which keeps your skin clean and prevents acne and other skin problems. Btw I know this might not be the case for everyone but it certainly can’t hurt.
-Healthy scalp = healthy hair and drinking enough water helps you achieve that. -It helps you stay energized cause being dehydrated leaves you tired and dizzy.
Remember you should take care of your hair and skin from the inside out too. If your body is hydrated it will allow your skin and hair to absorb products more easily.
