On the third day of Christmas Durty Nellie’s gave to me, Christmas Ale from @anchorbrewing! ‘The 2018 Christmas Ale has varying specialty malts, lending rich flavors of brûléed sugars, holiday spices, and freshly baked banana bread with a velvety finish. The aromatics are quintessential for the holiday season: nutty candied yams and resinous pine. It pours a nice mahogany brown color with a fluffy, tan head.’ Stay tuned as we release the 9 remaining beers, one per day until Black Friday! 🍻🎄☃️❄️ #12BeersofChristmas#TisTheSeason#DrinkAndBeMerry#SecretRecipe#SeasonalDelight#ChristmasFlavor

Please join @bs.travel and myself (@drunken_yogi ...obvi) for the coolest, absolutely awesomest, and also alliterative, hashtag out there
which conveniently coincides with #FlashbackFriday aka #FBF ...which is ironically also an alliterative hashtag of awesomeness.
But for real, we all have some badassery buried in our galleries, so let's have another look, shall we!
...this week, I'm (re)posting that time I posted a badass Fallen Angel (...which ilike to call my #DrunkenAngel ) with #ColetteMiller 's wings at #TheBlocLA ...and actually the only time I've ever taken a photo with the wings (it's also my tinder profile pic 😂😂😂🤣)
Side Note: Lining up this shot took forever and required the direction of my photographer and 2 passersby and by the time I set back down I had a small gathering of people watching on this heavily trafficked street corner, I was all embarrassed and practically ran away ...luckily the photo turned out alright! 🖤🕉🤘😘

Most of my life I've felt like an outsider. Even if I had a group of girlfriends around me, I still really didn't feel like I belonged. I've had hurtful things said about me making it difficult for me to trust other women. And I've seen women hide behind smiles and words because they were afraid of honesty.
Over the years I have moved a lot and searched for a place to call home and I continually have felt that same outsider feeling.
It's so funny being an adult and trying to navigate friendships, try being a network marketer on top of that. The triggers are still there. But as I opened myself up to receive a little at a time, I have made the most incredible friendships.
As women, we need community, encouragement, and support. We need to celebrate each other instead of cutting each other down. We need to look for a common ground and honor our differences.
So today I celebrate the women in my life who are brave enough to be that encouraging, honest, supportive friend to others. The women who are bold enough to set boundaries, and yet have the strength to communicate when those boundaries have been crossed. I celebrate the women who lift each other up instead of cutting each other down. I celebrate the women who cheer each other on because that is what the world needs more of.

It’s World Vegan Day, National Stout Day, and chest day (for me.) So, normally I wouldn’t make a heavy food choice or drink on a workout day, but I’ll take a hit and partake in stout activities. (Besides every day is vegan day for me.) I know Beachwood isn’t crazy about veganism, but I’ll always love them - especially because they were down enough to participate in this year’s Eat Drink Vegan festivities.
Anyway, first-off: I’m vegan for the animals. When I went vegan nearly six years ago, I realized that no creature had to suffer for me to sustain, nor did I have to sacrifice taste.
Over-time other reasons accumulated making me realize that my decision was the best I could make - one such being climate change. Without getting into details; there’s an abundance of evidence that proves that animal agriculture makes a detrimental impact on the environment. There’s no arguments to be made here. If you’re combating the threats to our environment and you’re still eating meat, eggs, and dairy, then the sanctity of Mother Earth isn’t exactly your priority.
Now, I’d be a liar if I told you I didn’t make the change because of health. Initially-speaking, not only had I made it down to the leanest and fittest I’d been in years, by dropping nearly 30 pounds; but I also improved my mental health significantly. While depression always lingers, it’s been a night-and-day difference from before, when I constantly failed to manage it.
Going back to food and beer- for those who’ve followed me for sometime, you already know I live deliciously. I enjoy plenty of food, and I certainly never had to sacrifice quality beer. In fact, the only thing I’ve missed out on are shitty English brews that use fish bladders for “clarification” and the easy cop-outs of the lactose trend (i.e. IPA milkshakes, milk stouts.)
