Jairo sipped on his drink he had been waiting for his client to show up for nearly an hour now and his patience was wearing thin. The inn the client had chosen to meet at was dirty and seedy, he had already seen a couple of patrons empty the contents of their stomachs onto the floor and the staff wasn’t in a hurry to clean it up. “Excuse me” Jairo called out to one of the staff, a mousey looking woman “Could we get the this cleaned up” he gestured to bile on the floor “ It’s starting to smell.” The woman regarded him with a bored look before shrugging and continuing on walking to the back. That was it ,he was done here. Jairo got up to leave, but as he did a man entered the inn he was carrying a small chest finally his client had arrived. Jairo sat back down and the man took the seat across from him. “Sorry I was just gathering the last of your payment” he said apologetically. “It’s fine” Jairo lied, annoyance laced his words with a harshness, that made the other man flinch. “Let’s talk business. What is it that needs slaying?” “A young dragon is living in the caverns west of the town I’m the mayor of and it’s been terrorizing us for the last few months. The people scraped up all they could, so they could send me to hire you” The man opened the small chest to reveal the silver within it. “Is this it?” Jairo frowned this wouldn’t be enough to cover half of his fee. “W-what do you mean?” "Well if it was gold it would be a different matter, but this is no where near enough” Jairo sighed and got up from his seat and started to walk away, another waste of time. “Wait please wait! We’re doomed if you don’t slay the dragon at the rate it’s killing us there won’t anyone left by the end of the year” the man pleaded behind him.Jairo continued walking “ It’s greed will get the better of it eventually and it’ll move on to wealthier lands, you’ll just have to weather the storm until then.” “W- we’ll give y-you a-a-anything please” the man continued to plea, sobs started to make his voice break. Jairo turned to face him “ Fine, fine I want the deeds to a dozen of best residences in town you’ll get them back once I’m paid back”The man nodded silently.
Pokemon trainer Laxus! ⚡⚡
I would never imagine that someone like Laxus could look so cute 💕 It's the chibi magic! 😹✨
I'm the only one who Laxus always reminded to the gym leader Lt.Surge? That's why I gave him a Raichu ⚡💞
It doesn’t work when other people tell us to calm down and it certainly doesn’t work when we do it to ourselves either. When is the last time you were feeling anxious and someone told you to just “chill out” and it worked? 😂🙈 Or when’s the last time you felt depressed and someone told you to just look on the bright side and cheer up...how’d that work out for you?🙄 🔅
So here’s the thing: why do we expect it will work when we do it to ourselves? When you’re having a panic attack, why, sweet one, do you think it will work to say to yourself “stop panicking!”? It often makes it worse since you ARE panicking and now feel powerless to it, right? Or why, when feeling so sad, is it so common to say to yourself “everything is so good in my life, I should be feeling happy”? This often brings such shame for the feelings you’re experiencing. 🔅
Instead, here’s the mind-blowing thing: when we just acknowledge what we ARE feeling, it’s amazing how validating and reassuring that is. Let’s do that for each other and ourselves. We’ve got to name our dragon to slay our dragon. 🔅
