Wednesday- it’s the day. And boy have we got some good news for you.... sigh.... good news for you 😀. There, better, snaps one out of the melancholy. Wednesday specials, will now run all week, through to Tuesday dinner. Just as was expected.
And what do we have for you this time @toastandtonic BLR. A lot of inspiration from what we grow ourselves. This unveil will happen, when I have a flourishing crop to show you. But until then.... 1. Strawberries and whey. Two things were just getting a plenty of. And without doubt something that’ll keep coming up. So here it is. A tender coconut parfait, with a whey and strawberry sorbet, coconut and milk cream, strawberry caviar, lemon bread pudding with tender coconut. And just oodles of insta porn. So pretty! Taste is a given; we won’t do it otherwise.
2. Vegetarians rejoice once again, I seem to be leaning a lot towards you - looking at you... don’t pass it up. A rather delicious, and complex poke bowl, with pickled and stewed Nasu (thin sweet Japanese eggplant; ironic since the eggplant is the rare Indian vegetable) on this stunning gobindonhog and radish green rice. The radish green along witn the radishes are our home crops! And they also find their way into the bowl, in three forms. Sweet and sour, fresh, and blanched. Along with, sprouts, puffed lentils, crisp onions, averakai, sesame crusted tofu and fresh jalapeño. So good!
3. My humble non fancy bar boys, actually took the ingredient thing to heart, and knocked out yet another stunner. A RADISH EFFING DRINK!!! and it’s a eureka! Fresh radish, and I mean stupidly fresh, gin and bitters. It wasabied the sceptic in me. 👏🏽👏🏽 way to go boys... you got game.

Life is indeed worth living. Life is what you make it to be in your mind. Everything you think everyday is what your life is.
One thing that I absolutely love doing is reading, learning and striving to be better tomorrow than I am today. Even if I just get a few pages in here and there while sitting in parking lots picking up and dropping off kids. This book is one of my favorites!! If you are building a business I highly recommend reading “Listen, Sister”! It’s a fast easy read that will get you moving and not overthinking! You’ll be glad you took the time for it! Have your highlighter ready. On audio too!
What’s your favorite “go to” excuse?? Mine used to be “I just don’t have time & I can’t, I’m broke” 👎laaaaaaaameeeeee Truth is, I had the time, we all do. We ALL have 24 hours a day and we are in charge of what we do with our hours. Yeah, we are busy. LIFE is busy! Why are we still using this as an excuse not to care for ourselves?? 🤷♀️ I don’t care who you are, everyone can find 30 minutes, somewhere. Maybe it means skipping an episode or not scrolling Instagram. Maybe it means you find something else to occupy your kids while you get it done (newsflash our kids do NOT need our attention every waking moment of every day and they will be perfectly fine to do something else) Whatever you need to do, you make it happen. But seriously, stop using the lame old excuse of “I don’t have time” because, let’s be totally honest here... it’s bull. 💯And as for the “I’m broke” line.... y’all, your financial situation is generated by your actions and your way of thinking. If you constantly say how broke you are, guess what, you’ll stay broke! 😱 Shocking, I know. We are all guilty of spending money on stuff we don’t need. The little $1 rack at target or the impulse buys on amazon because they’re having a sale, they trip me up too! But yet, when it comes to spending money on something that will actually BENEFIT us and can potentially change our lives, we say “I can’t, I’m broke”. Being broke isn’t the problem, the problem is the way we think and how we refuse to be honest about the REAL excuse.... the real excuse being “it’s just not important to me” Because, again being honest here, when something is important to us, we find the money. How many times have you magically found the money to pay your electric bill before it got cut off??? Just sayin. My point here is this, if working out & taking care of your body are not your thing, that’s totally fine. It’s your life, live it how you want to. BUT be honest with yourself about it and stop using the lame ass excuses just because you don’t like the way it feels to admit the truth behind them. And if those things ARE important to you, and you need help figuring it all out, I’m always here to help anyone who is willing to WORK!

Por acá seguimos curando viejas lesiones... ya van 6 años de una lesión mal curada en el codo. Es importante cuando hay algún traumatismo o dolor consutar a un especialista en deportes (no algún doctor básico, desactualizado y que vea los deportes como si fueran el diablo) que te mande a hacer 2 años de reposo, a ver qué tan grave es y guardar el cuidado y recuperación prudente para volver de la mejor manera.
~ Ten en cuenta que no hay que dejar de entrenar para recuperar una lesión.
Siempre puedes hacer movimientos funcionales, pasar técnicas, bajar cargas y enfocarte más en trabajar movimientos que no necesiten el uso de la zona afectada.
