Have you ever been to this new cozy space downtown?
Last night while I was at another dinner, Janey was at this iYellow dinner by @chefdevan paired with South African wines for Nelson Mandela day. 📷@foodrealm #nelsonmandeladay
With all the amazing scenery, all the great experiences and all the beautiful people I’ve met. THIS picture stood out the most.
This boys name is Geraldso, this boy came up to me during one of our excursions, when my dune buggy broke down he asked me for $1. I had to apologize to him because I didn’t bring any money. I’m here enjoying life and I could NOT even give him a single dollar. Here I am complaining about thing that I don’t have, when this boy didn’t even get mad that couldn’t give him what he asked. Before I left Canada for the trip I was upset about something I couldn’t have, but this was def an eye opening. Coming from a 3rd country myself, I don’t know how I had the audacity to even complain.
After this interaction, my trip definitely hangs for the better. It definitely made me appreciate my time there, this made me remember what I have in life and how privileged I am to be able to do the things I’m able to do. This made me forget what i was complaining about and appreciate things to the minute detail, like talking about life to a beautiful stranger until 5:30am and wake up at 7am to catch our flight back home meant the whole world to me.

Hi, Monday. you may not be our favourite day of the week, but we like to think starting the day with a coffee is always a good idea, right? If you agree, swing by our take-out window from Monday-Friday.
"Site Specific" 2 by Scott Eunson and Marianne Lovink, 2015, commissioned by #waterfronttoronto , supposed to cover site history "from the ice ages to the present". History does not happen in ages, but you would not seriously expect it to be represented any other way in this context. It is a piece of great artisanship but not art as I understand it. Art questions, instigates and demands critical inquiry and critical commentary. If affirmative, art it is not. #publicarttoronto#publichistory#downtownTO
"Site Specific" by Scott Eunson and Marianne Lovink, 2015. I had never walked by this permanent installation at night. A plaque describes this metallic artwork as "complex patterns of positive and negative space providing clues to the many hidden stories of inhabitants throughout the ages." Commissioned by Waterfront Toronto. Located at Cherry Street & Eastern Avenue #downtownTO#publicarttoronto#publichistory
