•Let me love my 'stache !! •
Age 9: I started noticing my leg hair. I wanted to shave it. Scarring my legs to make them different than the boys'. Making them more like the "girly" girls that they were into.
When I was 11, I remember being excited to find my first few armpit hairs. And pubic hairs. I pointed them out for my mom with pride. It meant my body was changing, maturing.
When I was 13, I noticed my forearm hair. The other girls around me took to shaving their arms, comparing smooth skin during classes.
At 15, I grew insecure of my tummy hair. Happy trails weren't so happy for dark girls with even darker hair. By this point, any hair that grew on my body was routinely decimated.
Eyebrows threaded ✔Upper lip threaded ✔ Armpits shaved ✔ Legs shaved ✔ Stomach Nair'd ✔ I even plucked the little hairs on my toes and knuckles.
All this torture culminated to pure exhaustion. (Among all the pent up self hate, scrutinization, frustration)
Why did my body have to be so hard to maintain? To make it perfect, like all the other girls?
Thankfully by 19, I began to notice my self worth - it existed beyond the grooming. I fell in love with the little pieces of my body that I previously felt made me ugly, masculine, unclean, "too" Latina, and undesirable, somehow. I started noticing how much more work I was expected to do than girls with lighter skin, finer hair, and of course - men.
I decided I would make the rules for my own body. Without apology. Without comparison. But I was never again going to paint what grew my from my living, joyful body in a negative light.
Now, when my eyebrows get fleeky, I confidently decline the moustache suggestion (which sounds like it's actually not a suggestion 🕵#shade ).
I don't punish myself for not shaving, or trimming, or "up keeping," for OTHERS.
My leg hair grows wildly and sparse and pokes through the dresses I wear to work. My tummy hair is there to keep me warm. My arm hair is fine and beautiful and makes pretty patterns when I rub lotion in.
Go ahead, zoom in. I love my face fuzzies and I love my 'stache. Can you say the same?
What has your body hair journey looked like?

TIME Magazine's 2018 PotY
Is 》Essentially... themselves! Journalists
that have sacrificed for journalism. Funny
how the one that has had the most profound
and impactful sacrifice on society must have
escaped TIME Magazine's staff of objective
and honest models of journalistic standard?
Tommy Robinson was wrongfully arrested
and imprisoned in solitary confinement for
and given "the treatment" to a point for.
Attempting to cover the trial of alleged
Muslim RAP3 gang suspects that assaulted
young girls. He was just recording outside
as was permitted. He complied w officers
until they arrested him n tried to place a
ban on their media from speaking of it.
Ppl rioted throughout "Free Tommy". That
Is what real fucking protest is for! Free
Speech is an integral part of free society.
Protesting to abort lives for the right to
have irresponsible sex while wearing a vagina
on your head is neither Moral or clever... It
is absolutely absurd I had to actually say it.
FTR... Most cases! Women victimized by rape.
should be allowed the right to decide,
but IMO that is her burden to bear... not
her optioning to bail out on responsibility 4
stupid, selfish, or unfortunate decisions.
Men get off the hook too w abortion, but
they have no right to it. That is my point!
Barack's ELECTION n confirmation
can be a symbol of African American
progression on one hand, as there
is great virtue there. While on the other... Shit. His presidency was a disgrace, as much of Bush's was previous. However, I would argue Bush had tougher decisions to make w much less deliberation time... if really any considering certain aspects n events. Obama was dealt a shitty economy fresh in a recession. However, in that position every other former POTUS
Had seen the economy bounce back just after... that did not happen w Obama. Instead we got economic stagnation, swollen unemployment, job disintegration, and blatantly mislead and decieved regarding the shitty Obamacare... that was just applying fed gov't mandate for citizens to purchase private health insurance!
Oh... he destroyed a country, Libya! He killed absurd amounts of innocent ppl by way of DRONE STRIKES. Uranium One deal to RUSSIA. Paris Agrmnt is just wlth rdsbtn
Gave $150 Billion dollars to Iran to allow EU Inspections of their nuclear missile program... NO MISSILES, but keep f'ing w your nuclear reactors n enriching uranium...
Cuz the missile component is the real difficulty for militaries...?🤦♂️
$150 billion in F'ING CASH to Iran!!
Trump can't even get $5 billion to save citizens almost $300 billion/yr on Illegal aliens n bring sovereignty to our country in both name n definition. That requires a fucking border! Why does China get to make their's a world tourist destination, but we can't have one?! Where's the equality of nations n culture there? Liberal hypocrissy hinders this country from being an oasis so much more than it does distance us from hell! Gtfoh w Obama's presidency... nobody has that amount of time to discuss his failures in depth properly.
Why is it socially not acceptable for a man to cry? After all we are all human with dreams, hopes, FEELINGS. I mean, come on! We’re not Spartans or the Unsullied.. (excuse our geekiness) Please, men! Don’t suppress your emotions! Cry! Be sad! And wear this shirt, you’ll relieve all the pain AND look stylish while doing so. Of course, link in bio. @neutralfriday *

It looks like at least one major #celebrity is willing to expose the smear tactics of the left. @nickcannon was reportedly furious with the #doublestandard of #hollywood and did some investigating and pulled out receipts showing that #liberal comedians including, Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, and Sarah Silverman have used homophobic slurs on Twitter but have yet to experience any career complications. Good for #nickcannon ! @bet
