You can try to demonstrate to someone a way to touch - to speak - to eat - to create - to do - to BE... you can tell them not to prick the thorn if your wisdom knows its going to hurt them, but ultimately, were going to prick ourselves out of curiosity. .. were not going to drink unless were thirsty even if you gift us a river... were not going to hear you until we #LISTEN ... we wont be able to love you or believe you until we love and care for ourselves... love is the most powerful thing we have, especially when we learn to generate it infinitely within ourselves. Despite all the rage, confusion, frustration, anger, heartache that may come with watching someone get pricked, or getting pricked... #give what you can, help heal, help clear the bloody messes that happen after we walk through fields of thorns because we needed to feel that pain in order to truly understand what it means to US in relation to our LIVES... were all different. We all #LEARN differently. * easier said than done !!! * listen .. empathize... and just be there to glow when we are stuck in the brambles... sometimes that little sparkle of light is all we need to find the way out ... ❤️ #links#synchronicities ... #humble#humble#humble#yourself#lemonsqueeze#paul#greatday#thorns#reflections#sun#rain#unity#boulders#rockclimbling#doorsofperception#lightworkers#fibonacci#italianstallion#elk#mohonk#glow#williamblake

Ayahuasca and the medicine path can provide tremendous opportunities for healing and growth but a person can also find themselves in harm's way if they're not careful. Today I bring you the experiences of Jesse Klein, who sat in over 100 ayahuasca ceremonies over a 3 year period. He tells of the highs and the lows, but in particular how he found himself overextended and depleted after such a focused time on the medicine path. I relate my own story as well, which is similar to Jesse's and so many other people I know. It's very easy to get caught up in the highs of ayahuasca and want to keep going faster and faster, higher and higher. We share some of the wisdom gleaned from difficult experiences and learning the hard way.
I've decided to start sharing a medicine song after each episode because the music is such a beautiful and important part of these ceremonies. I speak a description and basic translation beforehand. The song at the end of this episode is Agua de Estrellas and it's performed by Diego Palma.
