More of my treasure trove of idyllic Hampstead facades 💛 - yellow holds a special place in my heart as every time my mother gave our cozy kitchen a fresh coat of paint, it was a yummy soft shade of yellow. Funny how images, in an instant, conjure up such poignant memories. My mother was a brilliant woman of great faith who led by example, an eternal optimist even after losing three children & never having an unkind word - I will always equate yellow with her. #yellow#heros#cheerful#doorsoflondon#london#facades#doorsofinstagram
Bright and colourful in Bloomsbury. .
I wanted to straighten this up but my phone says it's straight so just tilt your head 😆
Yesterday the sun came out for precious time together, as my daughter, Julie showed me around her new London life haunts, including a popular student café downstairs next door. All that was missing were our laptops - except I don't have one 😂 but lovely cup of tea! .
The start of a new week in our special neighbourhood of Spitalfields, colourfully captured here by @heathercowper - find out how you can explore our patch of East London on foot with our guest post from @discoveringbritain over on our website (link in bio) #spitalfields#discoveringbritain#oldspitalfieldsmarket
Alice: “Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
The Cheshire Cat: “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.”
Alice: “I don’t much care where.”
The Cheshire Cat: “Then it doesn’t matter which way you go.” @lapuntogio

"We have lived in Ulverston Road for 5 years. We were attracted to this house due to it’s Victorian features and garden space. There is a real sense of community. Ulverston Road has a street party every summer. The area offers more each year; coffee shops and a good Pizzeria opening this year alone in Wood Street, a long-standing covered market, which has records, clothes, all sorts. Epping Forest is great for walks, a 2 min walk from the house. Wood Street station under a 10 min walk, Liverpool Street then 20 mins by train. Walthamstow village offers restaurants, shops and pubs. Walthamstow Central, Victoria Line, is one stop from Wood Street station. There is lots to explore. We’ll miss the house once we relocate."⠀
