So Day 1 are all “behind” lowerbody.
And Barbell Hip thrust (swipe ◀️) is a compound movement that pretty much hits the hamstrings, calves and lower back, but it is more predominantly at the glutes section.
I was originally just going to slowly increase the weight from last week 35lbs to 45lbs to screw it, we doing 55lbs as for my last 4th set-10reps with 10sec burn at the end.
Remember to Stretch and foam roll before and after. Helps with muscle recovery. Have a loose rubber band like muscle for more blood and oxygen flow for your muscles not tight as a rope. ——-

Cuando haces las cosas solo por hacerlas de verdad es muy difícil dar tu 100% todos los días, así que busca tu motivación, ya sea superación personal, hacer un cambio, verte mejor, sentirte mejor 💪🏻
Hoy mi motivación está al 💯 porque no importa si empiezas desde 0 lo importante es EMPEZAR !

I’ll be honest, I avoided leg days after my prep was over because leg days were just so brutal during prep. and once I got back in to my routine, I actually avoided any quad dominant exercises because I felt like I needed to grow my hamstrings and glutes. and now, my quads are so weak 😭 but as of a couple weeks ago, i’m making sure to do leg extensions on every leg day now because that’s the 1 exercise I absolutely hate. but you gotta do things that you don’t like and make you uncomfortable in order to grow. so let’s pray that these quads start to grow again and get shreddy 😛 #comfortablyuncomfortable#doublepost#sorrynotsorry
Low-bar squats are the most uncomfortable exercise I've ever tried... but I like em. (As you can see, the marks of an inexperienced low-bar squatter). It was rough coming back today, and I owe that to not having any music, and switching over to low-bar squats. I'd watched a few videos on why low-bar squatting was great, so I decided to give em a try. When I got past warmups and squatted 185x5, my entire face bulged out in a masculine, red mass😉 throughout the entire set. After this, I almost backed down to high-bar, but I was drawn back in for some reason. I finished out 4 sets instead of 5 since I'd already taken 40 minutes figuring everything out, and now I think I'll do em again next week. I feel like, similar to my front squat (95->140 in a few weeks), this will get more comfortable in time and eventually come out a lot stronger. Let me know about your experience with low-bar squats below! As for the rest, I did 205x6x4 really easily on deadlifts and I'll move up the weight next week. I also finally tried bb lunges again, and my knees felt pretty terrible, so I'll work on form throughout the week and drop the weight a bit next week. today's main workout 👊🏼 @johnparker__ posted about his favorite superset the other day, so I stole that for my first one (back squats & swings) and other than that I changed up the rest of my typical Monday workout and it was great! more challenging and more fun than what I've been doing lately. 🏋🏼♀️ if you're kinda moseying about the gym this week, try out this circuit and you'll get a great full body workout in!
