The ONE thing I used to be so afraid of.
Today, it just dawned on me about the importance of self-reflection. Not just reflecting once, at the end of each year but rather, on a daily basis. For me, I find it so hard to adopt the #slowliving mindset and lifestyle because I’m afraid.
I’m so scared that if I slow down for just a second (ok not a second, that is ridiculous in my book but yeah you get the drift), I would be left behind. I grew up in a city that is so ridiculously fast-paced and what got wired into my head for the longest time is, if I take a moment to rest while others are working, I immediately lose.
And so... I keep going. I keep pushing myself even though my body is telling me to stop. Sometimes, I laugh (and cringe) deep down, when people ask me, “Sera, how do you remain so calm, stay on top of things, and juggle them all of them so well.”
My default answer? “Ha. I got used to it.”
Guys, what I used to do was just downright unhealthy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My business mentor once told me and has been stuck with me ever since was, “you will break down and get burnt out before you even reach your goals.” It literally woke me up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What’s the point of continuously charging through or constantly having that “GO GO GO!” mindset 24/7 if I’m not learning how to hit pause, recharge, and self-reflect on a daily basis?
Yes, no doubt, hard work and effort MUST be put in for a business to take flight. And I’m a huge advocate of finishing my day when I’m done, not when I’m tired. But learning how to be flexible and not rigid is equally important to become the best version of yourself. So today, I want to remind you (and myself) that we are still humans at the end of the day. Be kind to people but most importantly, be kind to ourselves too.
What about you? Have you taken the time to do self-reflect? If no, I highly encourage you to because it helps you to live life with more intention, uncover your breakthroughs, and to inspire self-acceptance.
And if yes, how do you practice self-reflection? I would love to know!
"If you want to see big change in your life, you've got to do things that scare you. Everything you've done up until now has gotten you where you are. You've got to step outside your comfort zone and do things you've never done before." Haha! I'm sorry😉.. I'm actually not that bad but it's because I dont leave much time inbetween the time I get up and the time I get my first cup of coffee. .
Once we get up my husband gets his lunch for the day together and I make my coffee😂

Got a big, beautiful dream that makes your heart soar? ☺️ A great first step to making that dream a reality is creating a mind map.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Start with your dream in the middle, then add all the different ways you could make it come true (no editing here - write it all, even ideas that seem silly).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you're ready, review your map - pick one idea to start with (ideally the one that will have the greatest impact and move you the furthest in the right direction) and choose one small action step to take in the next week. If you're not there yet, that's okay. Keep your map to refer back to later. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A must-visit in the bay is the beautifully authentic & artisan homeware shop ❥❥🌵 @wearepampa // Your bank account will tell you not to but follow your heart.. Life is too short not to have nice things. 😝
Hello, I’m back! Non-studio-life took over for a while as I’ve moved house and priority no 1 has been getting settled in. Thanks for bearing with me!
There’s been lots of rebrands and new identities launched for my amazing clients over the last six months here at Beehive Green. I just haven’t had a chance to share them! So, I’ll be playing catch up until they’ve all had their moment in the limelight. 😉
For now, the Crimbo countdown has begun in earnest. Today, I’m getting my new home studio in order (pics to follow when finished) and finishing up design projects. With a large cuppa (or two) of course!
What are you working on today? Here’s to a great week whatever your plans! 🎄🙌😊
"When you combine passion with service - you have the formula for a life-changing business, and the ability to truly use your influence to positively impact the lives of others.”
A sentiment that has been part of my vision for so long, and is now my reality.
Last Friday, as I sat eating ice cream with my kids (a treat for my eldest as we had just left her Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony), my phone lit up with a Facebook notification, and these words filled my screen:
⠀ “Schedule your call with Kylie ASAP! Best 60+ minutes. She's an amazing social media wealth of knowledge and walks you through very quick, tactical changes that will greatly increase social media reach.
Her thorough preparation pays off with guidance that is spot on and easy to incorporate going forward.
I was even able to incorporate some of her tips during our call!
I have watched many social media webinars and I still learned tips and tricks that are critical for greater online presence.
Be prepared to listen and take notes...and to be WOWED like I still am by our time together!" - Allie
I mean, I cannot even explain to you how happy reading that review made me.
As I sat there with my babies, I took the moment to really appreciate the fact that I have achieved my goal of being the hands on, present Mum that I had always hoped to be to my children, and not only that, I also have the privilege of building a business that allows me to serve other women and help them to step into their purpose, and pursue their own goals and dreams, and to that in a way that doesn't require them to choose between their business goals and their family.
Truly a privilege I don't take for granted.
If you are curious how you could better utilize social media to grow your network, influence and income, either through your existing business or through an residual income stream, emoji me below or shoot me a DM and let's chat!

SuperShe Island is a pretty magical place, it’s true! Even more amazing is the SuperShe community. Thanks for the beautiful words @jacks9696, we couldn’t be more humbled or feel more lucky to facilitate such connection, unwinding, relaxation and growth.
For those who know me, #spontaneous events bring me more anxiety than should be allowed 😂 but this is something I’m working on.
When it comes to the unknown, I’ve found that being #consistent and hardworking brings more joy in the end. I’m learning to get excited when it comes to ‘adventures’ and new #opportunities .
Who here loves spontaneity? Let me know 👇🏼

I love pushing people for no. Most people don’t buy at first consideration. Despite what the sales trainers might tell you, most people want to make a considered decision on how they spend their money and nobody wants to make the wrong decision and have buyer’s remorse.
Especially if someone is outside their comfort zone and doesn’t know much about what you do, they’ll likely feel intimidated. So they’ll procrastinate.
I always follow up and I teach other business owners to do the same. I’ll follow up and follow up and follow up.
I’ll push for a ‘no’. Why?
Because then I’ll stop following up. Energetically, it feels complete.
Most people (women) hate the word no. They don’t use it and they don’t like hearing it. In fact, some women will say anything but no.
So I push people to tell me no because I’m giving them a gift. Tell me no. I can handle it. It’s polite to not leave people hanging and it’s far better than wasting time in endless follow ups.
One more no is one step closer to the next yes from somebody else.
Using the word no is deeply empowering. Embrace it - for both giving and receiving- until it becomes no big deal. 💫
Let’s talk about #MarketResearch ☝🏼
Market research exists to guide your business decisions by giving you insight into your market, your competitors, your products, your marketing and your #customers . By enabling you to make informed choices, market research will help you develop a successful marketing #strategy 📱
Market research helps reduce risks by allowing you to get product, price and promotion right from the outset. It also helps you focus resources where they’ll be most effective.
Some practical ways to do this:
- See what other businesses in your field are doing to engage with their followers/clients (DON’T COPY THEM 🙄)
- Conduct surveys with your ideal clientele.
- Research. Whether it’s investing in books, online courses or watching tutorials.
- Ask. Ask your close friends and family for their opinions on the matter (use your discretion, obvs.)
This is a marathon, not a sprint. So take it easy ⛱

Every week I am always reminded how blessed I am to have found my dream catch 💕
I always put 100% thought, care and effort in to all our weddings. I am so happy to be in a role where I can and want to give so much to my job. I’m extra lucky to have such a generous and supportive floral and life partner ☘️🌹💕
When I was working in a small cubicle, doing so many people's jobs, having heart palpitations because of my stress level, I knew there had to be more to life. ⠀
I wanted more out of my life. ⠀
More time with my kids. My sanity back. A higher income.⠀
Self-care at this point in my life wasn't even on my radar.⠀
I yearned to work from home and hire a nanny. To do work that felt meaningful and in a way that I could give back. ⠀
It took listening to my heart to finally find the strength and direction of where and how to take my life to a whole new level.⠀
What is your heart telling you?
