We worked on rucking, passing drills, and defense. So lots of running-including hills and passing the ball. It was a pretty simple practice, otherwise I would post workouts that would help with our drills, but tonight’s would just include shuffling and working on endurance (if people are working on their endurance I point them to the C25K app). Practice was followed by a social for taco Tuesday. I didn’t want to go over my macros so I just had Maestro Silver and soda. I have a love/hate relationship with yoga X, but I always feel so zen after 💜 I still have trouble with shoulder stand to plough, crane, extended right angle pose but those are hard poses. In time my skill will improve, but I am so happy to have yoga in my life again ✌️ fitness is not always about lifting heavy, or crazy cardio, it is about challenging your mind and becoming one with yourself 💜

Late post cause I had a full day of fun. Got up and had my workout done early. Pike ups on slides are my favorite! I had so much energy when I was done my workout that I cleaned the whole house. And then there was really no stopping me so me and my bestest went out on an adventure. We went on a little walk around 5 mile woods which I find to be pretty creepy and idk of I ever want to go back ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Anyway. Then I napped with the pups and had a movie night tonight. And now I think it’s bed time ✌🏼

Anyone else feeling super tired after this last week.... especially my teacher friends 🤷🏻‍♀️ Getting back into the school routine and the endless items on the to-do list {and kids haven’t even come yet} ... phew! Throw on an emotional day yesterday and it was hard to open my eyes this morning. 
But I downed my yellow magic and enjoyed the entertainment my kids gave me and got it done! It’s actually a rest day, but I’m heading out of town with the girls and know I’ll be having a little bit of fun and might be resting a lot tomorrow 😉

It’s not that I LOVE working out everyday.

It’s not that I want to be skinny - though that used to be my ONLY thought - for years. Extreme measures because I thought - no, WANTED, to be skinny like the pretty girls.

Ever felt that way? 
But then a shift started happening. 
Motherhood, wanting my daughter to see her mom being something other than an extreme dieter. 
She deserved more from me. I deserved more for myself. 
She was a teen herself and body image is so hard! 
So, I took on a challenge. To better myself and to be a better mother.

This is three years later and I feel like I am who she needs me to be -> healthy, happy and confident.

So I show up everyday. For her. For me. For my #BusyChicksFitCamp and #FitLifeTribe and for my hubby because he deserves the best version of me 💕

And on days when I dread it - like today:

25 mins of HIIT (aka cardio and I’m the #dontputmedownforcardio girl) followed by some serious core work

But I show up and I do it. Because of this moment: conquering what i dread and pushing through because I LOVE the moment of saying I DID IT! 🙌🏼 Yup, damn proud of myself and I’m proud to say that! I am EARNING this body through hard work, commitment and dedication. I’m not going for skinny -> I’m going for healthy and strong 💪 
If you can’t start out doing this for YOU, do it for your family because they deserve the best version of you 💕

I do it for the AFTER feeling 💦 #nofilter  #sweatymess  It’s not that I LOVE working out everyday. It’s not that I want to be skinny - though that used to be my ONLY thought - for years. Extreme measures because I thought - no, WANTED, to be skinny like the pretty girls. Ever felt that way? But then a shift started happening. Motherhood, wanting my daughter to see her mom being something other than an extreme dieter. She deserved more from me. I deserved more for myself. She was a teen herself and body image is so hard! So, I took on a challenge. To better myself and to be a better mother. This is three years later and I feel like I am who she needs me to be -> healthy, happy and confident. So I show up everyday. For her. For me. For my #BusyChicksFitCamp  and #FitLifeTribe  and for my hubby because he deserves the best version of me 💕 And on days when I dread it - like today: 25 mins of HIIT (aka cardio and I’m the #dontputmedownforcardio  girl) followed by some serious core work But I show up and I do it. Because of this moment: conquering what i dread and pushing through because I LOVE the moment of saying I DID IT! 🙌🏼 Yup, damn proud of myself and I’m proud to say that! I am EARNING this body through hard work, commitment and dedication. 3 tips to make your cardio burn more fat:

🔥 don’t hold onto the machine! Use your muscles to stabilize yourself and it becomes much harder, let go of those handles/don’t lean on the machineeeee.

🔥Incorporate sprints. On the bike, treadmill, outside, on the stairmaster (my fav), row machine, elliptical, anything. 30 seconds on followed by 30-60 seconds rest X 6-8 intervals.

🔥Do HIIT routines between lifting exercises to keep that heart rate up and sizzle those cals.

Are you currently doing hours of cardio/week and hating it? It doesn’t have to be that way! I used to do an hour of fasted cardio every time I went to the gym-nooooooot anymore 🙅‍♀️ Using those 3 tips can help burn more calories in less time and will keep the burn going long after it’s done 🙋‍♀️

1. Survey the area. Hop on a piece of cardio equipment and just look at what’s open for use for a few minutes while warming up your muscles.
2. Stick to your workout plan. Look one up on Pinterest or IG or get one from your coach. Having a plan of action will help you feel more secure in your equipment needed. ****Look up the videos of the movements before you go in for you feel prepared****
3. Know that you DESERVE to be there, just like everyone else in that weight room. They were all new once. Just smile (especially at other girls in there #girlpower) or keep your head down and do yo thang. No ones watching you, and if they are, it’s probably because you’re hot stuff 😘.

How many times have you told yourself “I’ll be happy when _____”. I know this used to be me. I used to waste days, heck...years...telling myself I’d be happy when I had XYZ (insert money, house, moving to Florida, a new car, whatever!). The problem with this is that we INSTANTLY give our power to that thing. Like it dictates how we feel or something. We give up control.  So instead of waiting to be happy after you have or do something, just CHOOSE happiness now. Because I promise once you get that thing, you’ll realize happiness wasn’t really ever attached to it.
