Why I love landscape photography so much.
I really like travelling, going on adventures and seeing the best spots our planet has to offer. A very good excuse to travel more is to become a landscape photographer. I’m actually not a professional in this field, but it was a very good reason to make it a serious hobby.
When you start to dig a bit deeper into landscape and cityscape photography, or photography in general, you learn quite quickly that the perfect lighting is key to take stunning images. So you find yourself waiting in amazing spots, taking lots of images during sunsets or sunrises until the perfect blue hour appears.
Landscape photography let me embrace nature way more. It forced me to stay at a beautiful spot longer than I normally would or to hike to crazy places I normally wouldn’t. I hope that makes sense.
And the best thing, you don’t really need some fancy gear. You are perfectly fine with some entry level camera, a decent wide angle lens, a cheap tripod and an affordable subscription for @photoshop and @lightroom to get started.
I want to especially thank @elialocardi and the @officialfstoppers team for their amazing tutorial-series called “Photographing the World”, which put my work to the next level. If you want some professional knowledge, I can highly recommend watching the series.
You might recognize this spot in Vernazza. Again a very big thank you to Elia for sharing all your knowledge with us. You are a big inspiration for me and I hope you like my version of this image.😊
