This is my beautiful baba, he's handsome and intelligent, can probably out run most people, he's also a rescue dog, @mr.karl90 was volunteering for the @dspca he came across what he thought was an empty cage but no this beautiful boy.
He was just a ball the size of this head right now, he was the only dog left of his pack, they had been found up the Dublin mountains in a tiny cardboard box all cramped together.
Probably most likely because the people who dumped them couldn't sell them maybe they weren't trendy or what was in at the time, maybe the people knew they would become big in a matter of weeks and they would be even harder to sell.
I suppose a cramped box up the mountains was better than what some of the people do to dogs they know they can't make a profit on.
The sad part is that this is still happening, some people sadly buy dogs that will eventually end up in shelters or worse, because they didn't stay cute like the people who sold them the dog said they would. This is is happening because the demand is still there for "designer dogs".
I love dogs, all dogs missing teeth? Extra gummy smiles, diabetes? No wonder look how sweet you are!, Missing a leg? Only makes for more character!.
My baba had chosen Karl to be his owner there was nothing anyone could do to stop that 😂 he came home, a couple of months later I came into the picture and then he chose me 10 years later he's still number one. The point of this post is that there's so many dogs in the shelters all over the world, if you adopt and don't shop you will get the dog that is truly meant to be with you, if you have a "dream dog" please reconsider buying and look around shelters your "dream dog" may in fact be slobbing and stinking and somethings you wouldn't think of. Also dogs aren't like hand bags there sentient beings you shouldn't just want one because they will look good. #adoption#adopt#adoptdontshop#dogs#dogdo ##dogsofinstagram#nobuy#backyard#alldogsmatter#rant
