A lot has happened since this moment with mi abuelita in Puerto Rico a year and half ago. Hurricane Maria’s devastation on the island is still visible and felt to this day. Fortunately, I’m lucky to have my family safe. As the island rebuilds, the resiliency of Puerto Ricans grows stronger as communities continue to unite to help each other. This has created an outpouring of humanity that has reached the hearts of many outside the island—I’m beyond lucky to call one of them my own and have them as a true inspiration. Over the summer @noor_u_ain eagerly pursued an opportunity to join @nechamadisasterrelief to take her passion to rebuild communities into reality. Mustering up her 85 pounds of strength and determination to rebuild homes for families in the San Juan region. Proving size does not matter for one simply with an enormous heart. Were it not for her bold inspiration, I would not be able to discover the same opportunity to continue to help the island rebuild as she did. As I leave for the island tomorrow morning, I hope to share the same energy she did. With my lens in hand, we’ll continue to rebuild homes and hopefully share with the world the stories from within them.
I posted a link of the trailer for The Creepy Line today. And a few hours later my Facebook is unable to be found or logged in.
I guess they don't like the truth known
A derelict street decorated by young artists from the surrounding local area in the city of Liverpool back in 2015 as part of a bid to gain the attention of the council. The entire area was effectively abandoned but for a few properties, and planned for demolition, but now with the demand for housing on the rise and the city's economy being the fastest growing outside of London, this area is now finally undergoing vast regeneration after so many years of neglect. My hope for these photos is that they'll eventually become a three-way then and now, documenting the rise and fall then rise again of the streets that refused to give up.
This documentary explores the culture of shame and silence surrounding miscarriage, stillbirth and infertility. Too many men and women suffer in silence, and this film will be a tool for people to start conversations and spread awareness.
Through expert interviews and personal stories, this documentary thoroughly explores why a woman feels the way she does after a loss, and how her community can support her.
It examines the male voice in fertility and loss, and empowers families to break their silence and start telling their stories.
This film is not a compilation of tragic stories- it's a journey through the different aspects of the cultural taboos, and a tool for navigating loss and infertility.
We will gather in the Hayes Auditorium at the Boise Public Library.
Monday, November 5th.
Doors open at 6:00 pm, film starts at 6:30 pm. Short discussion to follow.

BREAKING THE CYCLE de Miquel Galofré | Documentaire 62min | Trinidad & Tobago (2018)
