Obesity is not alcoholism but there are some shared pathologies in the brain depending on the individual. You wouldn’t tell someone with alcohol issues to go pick up some water at the liquor store. You COULD but it would be silly.

After completing my reps in a set,  I added on an additional 3 to 5 partial reps which made my toes curl and almost brought tears to my 👀s!  I recognize that the range on partial reps should be a third of the normal range and that this rookie has much to improve on😊! Feeling the burn🔥, enjoying the learning process, and appreciating the improvements in strength 💪through this Challenge! Thanks @bodybuildingcom and @evogennutrition with Hany Rambod’s FST-7 Fitness Plan!

Pineapple smoothies next to my baby pineapple plant 🍍 I think it’s been making a slow death for a year now 😅 But maybe since it’s still hanging on it’s gonna survive! 🤞🏼
I remember being blown away when I learned what the pineapple plant looked like. I always pictured them growing on a palm tree like coconuts 😂 What can I say, there weren’t many pineapples growing in Finland!

¿Qué **** es “comer limpio”? La expresión de “comer limpio” se ha hecho muy popular, pero ¿qué significa?, ¿Será comer alimentos pocos procesados? Claro que esto te deja un poco perplejo. Porque del sacrificio animal a su distribución hay un proceso, en la agricultura también los hay y al cocinar los alimentos pasa lo mismo, entonces esta no parece la respuesta. ¿Será comer alimentos sin conservantes ni colorantes? No parece el caso porque muchas comidas con altos niveles de nutrición que los poseen. Entonces ¿comer limpio es comer bajo en grasas? 👍🏼Brown rice does tend to be more “healthy” in the sense that it contain more nutrients per unit weight or volume. Notably, it contains more protein, fiber, folate, and omega 3’s. These substances are contained in the outer layer of rice that is stripped away to make white rice. While the amounts may be more, the difference isn’t THAT significant for someone following an otherwise well balanced diet.

🤨Brown rice has also taken on a role as being better for weight loss while white rice is general thought best for weight gain. From a pure caloric standpoint, the opposite is true since per cup, brown rice contains more calories.

However, if you’re worried about it, soaking it thoroughly or washing before cooking can significantly decrease arsenic levels.

Si se investiga lo suficiente, la tendencia de consumir bebidas light parece ir de la mano con el aumento de la obesidad, entonces... ¿será que los refrescos light provocan ganancia de grasa y no su pérdida?

Los estudios realizados a corto plazo no dan respuestas concretas de que sean estas bebidas las causantes de la obesidad, no obstante, las pruebas de semanas o meses de duración pueden revelar los cambios en el peso corporal.

En los experimentos que involucran a sujetos obesos y de peso normal con una duración de 3-10 semanas comparando las bebidas endulzadas con azúcar con las bebidas light ha demostrado que estas últimas producían pérdida de peso mientras que las bebidas no dietéticas producían ganancia de peso. 
Sin embargo, los experimentos de 6 meses de duración han mostrado en algunos individuos una pérdida moderada de peso y en otros la ganancia de peso cuando las bebidas con azúcar fueron reemplazadas por las bebidas light.

Si se investiga lo suficiente, la tendencia de consumir bebidas light parece ir de la mano con el aumento de la obesidad, entonces... ¿será que los refrescos light provocan ganancia de grasa y no su pérdida? Los estudios realizados a corto plazo no dan respuestas concretas de que sean estas bebidas las causantes de la obesidad, no obstante, las pruebas de semanas o meses de duración pueden revelar los cambios en el peso corporal. En los experimentos que involucran a sujetos obesos y de peso normal con una duración de 3-10 semanas comparando las bebidas endulzadas con azúcar con las bebidas light ha demostrado que estas últimas producían pérdida de peso mientras que las bebidas no dietéticas producían ganancia de peso. Classic medical advise, but not necessarily very helpful in guiding others to reach better health. I’ve always had a personal interest in health and fitness, and my desire to help others progress with their own physical health status led me into personal training and ultimately into Orthopaedics. I consider myself to be developing as a musculoskeletal physician, and I desire not only to provide surgical treatments for those in need, but also to offer education when appropriate into the actions individuals can take to improve their own health. 
With all the fads of the fitness industry and the overblown use of supplements, I really have been considering offering my own insights and opinions, based upon my nearly two decades of weight training and exercise experience, combined with my understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and pathology.

Upper Pec Cable Fly. Also known as the incline cable fly/crossover or low to high cable fly/crossover. The clavicular head of the pectoralis major, or upper chest muscle, can be a more challenging muscle to target. Understanding the function of a particular muscle by recognizing its attachment points help to better understand how to target the muscle for training. The clavicular head attaches from the medial part of the clavicle (collar bone) to the lateral lip of the bicipital groove on the humerus (aka upper arm bone). The fibers of the clavicular head run adjacent to the anterior deltoid, and is thus similar to it in many ways, including its major movement action of shoulder flexion.

To perform these, start with a fairly light weight as these are more challenging than other pec flys. Shoulders start into extension and ~30-45 degree angle of abduction, with a supinated grip and a slight elbow bend. Stand using a split stance for stability. Begin bringing the arm upward and gradually approximating them together, keeping the same slight angle in the elbow and supinated grip, until the hands reach approximately eye level. Then slowly lower the arms down to the beginning position, allowing the shoulder to stretch into extension and repeat for reps. Keep the spine straight in neutral, core tight, and chest pronounced upward throughout the whole movement. Exhale on the way up, inhale on the way down.

Start light and work your way heavier. This exercise will definitely engage the anterior deltoid as well. A good chest movement that won't leave you in poor hunchback postures, promoting a shoulder stretch into extension and external rotation. Throw these in the mix for your chest conditioning days to keep that chest as high as your hopes and dreams ✌️.

Este complejo articular es una sección del cuerpo bastante singular y si bien todas las articulaciones son diferentes y varían en tanto a su resistencia de un cuerpo a otro, existen algunos factores comunes que pueden generar molestia e incluso lesiones más graves. 
Sin duda alguna el uso excesivo es una de las razones, se recomienda permitir la efectiva recuperación de nuestro cuerpo y músculos, un día sin entrenar no significará el fin del mundo. Asimismo, si te percatas de alguna molestia detén la rutina, el dolor es una señal que no debemos pasar por alto. Today some guys asked in a snarky manner why I was still at the gym if it was my “rest day.” Welll sirs, because moving your body everyday is important! It doesn’t have to be mentally taxing, I’m not deadlifting my 1-rep max everyday. But on rest days I still like to walk, foam-roll, stretch etc. Also getting a massage 😍🙌🏼 Deep tissue so RIP. TREAT YO SELF

At some point in time the idea that brown rice is a “good carb” and white rice is a “bad carb” really took off and has led to a lot of misinformation.

👍🏼Brown rice does tend to be more “healthy” in the sense that it contain more nutrients per unit weight or volume. Notably, it contains more protein, fiber, folate, and omega 3’s. These substances are contained in the outer layer of rice that is stripped away to make white rice. While the amounts may be more, the difference isn’t THAT significant for someone following an otherwise well balanced diet.

🤨Brown rice has also taken on a role as being better for weight loss while white rice is general thought best for weight gain. From a pure caloric standpoint, the opposite is true since per cup, brown rice contains more calories.

However, if you’re worried about it, soaking it thoroughly or washing before cooking can significantly decrease arsenic levels.

1). Hate myself 
2). Starve myself (and balance it out)
3). Do sh*% loads of cardio to “burn it off” 
4). Chill out...Carry on as normal

Now, I know a lot of people who do numbers 1-3. But doing any of 1). 2). Or 3). will ultimately make you feel like crap. Starving yourself will only lead to hunger and possibly another binge, and so will cardio - creating a vicious cycle!
And it’s never nice to hate yourself. Chances are you’re a good person and don’t deserve the hate.

So option 4 it is! 😊 I know I don’t need to lose weight, so some will argue that it’s “easier” for me. But extra calories are extra calories no matter who you are! ~. ~
Your diet is not ruined by one bad meal, or even one bad day. Just like you didn’t get your current body after one bad meal or after one day.  Your weight is determined by your overall diet (energy balance) OVER TIME. ~. ~
So don’t worry if you eat more than you intended. Nothing is ruined. Don’t say “fuck it” and proceed to eat Ben and Jerry out of business.... just put it behind you and get right back on track. 💪🏽

These substances are contained in the outer layer of rice that is stripped away to make white rice. While the amounts may be more, the difference isn’t THAT significant for someone following an otherwise well balanced diet.

Many patients come to me because I am an obesity specialist and they were sent because they are not able to lose weight despite their best efforts. It’s often thought they have a medical condition that’s stopping their weight loss. There is a finite list of causes that are medical in nature. Other than meds, PCOS, and hypothyroidism, the rest are very rare.

Got so much done today! Studied for anatomy, got my workout in {I'm back officially!!}, treated myself to a mani-pedi, picked up some things at Target and Sephora, stopped by a farmer's market, went grocery shopping {so I can meal-prep for the rest of the week}, and now off to dinner with some high school friends.
