Gotta make sure my recipes are on point!
When someone asks for a dish that I haven't made in a while, I always try to make a test batch myself, just to make sure the recipe is still good, and my technique is solid.
In this case, Pineapple Upside-Down Cake! I last made this in culinary school, which I graduated from about 12 years ago... The recipe I use though is my grandmother's (not the school's), but I prefer to do them as individual cakes, so as to maximize the amount of surface area covered by pineapple!
A bunch of spare cakes laying around the house? I'm sure my family won't mind! 😉
Chef "Chicken" George was born and raised in Jamaica. At age 11 he started cooking on his own and mastered his skills until he was 27 when he migrated to the United States.
Chef "Chicken" George’s first job in the US was at the World Bank but he still had a passion for cooking. With cooking cemented in his brain Chef Chicken George got his big break with his brother and opened the cream of the crop spot called “Cook Shop”. They stayed there for five years then turned the “Cook Shop” into a full fledged restaurant. They gave it the name Sweet Mango Café which became the most famous West Indian Café in Washington, DC. At Sweet Mango Café, Chef "Chicken" George launched Jerk Chicken Catering to further share his famous Jerk to a broader audience. His Jerk Chicken became legendary all over the DMV (DC, Maryland & Virginia area). That authentic flavor pleased palates from the area elite, everyday citizens and Caribbean food lovers looking for a taste of the island right in DC.

💎Here is a simple yet delicious quick red potato #recipe
🤗Red skinned potatoes (3-4 small diced)
😆Butter/oil (3 tbsp)
😜Onion powder (1tsp)
😮Garlic salt (1tsp)
😯 Rosemary (1 tsp) optional
😍 parsley (a sprinkle for garnish)
1. Heat skillet over medium heat, add oil when pan is hot.
2. Add your seasonings to melted oil, add your potatoes.
3. Cook potatoes for 7-9 minutes stirring/tossing frequently to avoid burning and to ensure consistent cook.
4. Check your potatoes and extend cook time at a lower heat if necessary. (The cut off your potatoes will effect the cook so try to have uniformity in your dice and if you have larger pieces add a few tbsp's off water to help with the larger pieces.) 👑An experience means more than you can imagine. 💎How you treat people impacts you both. 🔑It cost nothing to be kind!
Good luck tell me or tag me if you try it out!
