Today I’m having some testing done and not because I’m sick but because I want to stay healthy. Because of our family history of heart disease and high cholesterol I decided to take some tests through Life Line. Although I exercise daily and eat well, I know all too well how family genetics can play a part, even when you’re doing ‘all the things’. My Dad passed away at 58 from his second heart attack and my brother suffered a massive heart attack a few years back. He was very lucky to receive immediate medical attention as most people don’t survive the type of heart attack he had. I really believe that because he was very healthy and worked out regularly, this helped to save his life. My sister also suffered a stroke at age 40 so these things have always been in the back of my mind.
So today I’m getting the test that will show me my risk for all of the items in the photo above. I won’t get any results today as these will be sent to my primary doctor so I’m sure I’ll be anxious to get the results back. So yep, this is what I’m doing on my Saturday. The only problem is is that I didn’t realize that I had to fast for 4 hours before the test. I was just getting ready to have my daily shake and was scrolling through my email and re read the instructions for today. Of course I’m starving! Ha
Never take your body and your health for granted. I’ve been teased by people for my virtual health and fitness business telling me I’m just being silly, people don’t want to take health and fitness advice from an over 50 yr old woman. If getting someone back on track to a healthier lifestyle is being silly than I hope I’m the ‘silliest’ person out there! ❤️

The skin on our lips is much thinner than the skin on the other parts of our body. This makes it easier for them to crack and chap and as they have lesser amount of oil glands and no ability to create the sun-filtering natural melanin. This means that they have virtually no protection of their own.
Presenting, Simple and Effective Lip Care Tips:
1. Do not Touch or Lick your Lips:
2. Follow Healthy Diet Plan
3. Remove Makeup before sleeping.
4. Moisturize and exfoliate
5. Wear lipbalm with sunscrern
6. Don't use fake products.
7. Keep your lips hydrated. .
Add grinded sugar in olive oil and few drops of lemon juice.
Add beetroot juice in almond oil and 1tsp of brown sugar and massage it in circular motion
Add beeswax, honey and vit E oil in 2tsp of grinded sugar and use it.

I have been told so many more times than not, that people couldn't get up early, work out, eat (mostly) clean, or even post this stuff on social media!
I cannot tell you how ordinary I feel. Up until 2 years ago, I didn't get up before 7:15am. I hadn't worked out more than 10 times in my life. I couldn't have told you what a carb or healthy fat is. I had maybe posted on social media about something other than my kids less than 3 times.
At some point, I was done being miserable. I was done feeling sorry for myself. I was done thinking that at some point I would just magically be ‘little,’ like I had my entire life. I was going to take control of my life, stop making excuses about why I couldn't do things & actually just do them.
If you are so, so tired of being controlled by your pride & feel like getting here is so far off from you- I ask you: why not you? You can do this. You can do hard things! Unless you say you can't, then you can't. Choose more for yourself! 💜
The path to success is a rocky road with lots of failures. It is nothing to be scared about. No one got to the top without overcoming their fear of failure and overcoming failures. Failures show us our strengths and weakness. When we are scared to fail, the fear stops us from growing. Get out of your cushy comfort zone. If you want something you have never had, you have to do something you have never done!
Today, this week, I encourage you to think of one area in your life that you can get better at. Instead of thinking, what if I fall, think "what if I fly?"
