New images coming out just hours ago to celebrate the release of Bumblebee in theaters later next month. While the last Transformers didn’t match up critically or in terms of the commercial success analysts wanted, Bumblebee definitely taking the franchise in a different direction. In addition to Oscar-nominated filmmaker Travis Knight, known for Kubo and the Two Strings, directing Bumblebee, this movie also focuses on fewer characters. The script centering this time around Bumblebee’s past and reportedly takes the Autobot back to 1987. Pictured is the newest poster for Bumblebee courtesy of Paramount Pictures out on December 21. SAG Award nominee Justin Theroux lending his voice to the character named Dropkick in Bumblebee. It's #DefiantMindsMonday ! On Veterans Day, we honor those who have served our nation in the U.S. Armed Forces. But did you know November is Military Mental Health Month? For the 22 million veterans living in the United States, mental health is a pressing issue. According to the National Council for Behavioral Health, 30% of active duty and reserve military personnel who have deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan have mental health conditions like PTSD and depression that require treatment. Of that 30%, less than half of returning veterans get the treatment they need. With 20 veterans dying by suicide each day, it's critical that we pay attention to the mental heath needs of military members, veterans, and their families. It's one of the most important ways we can honor their service and sacrifice.
Every week, keep an eye out for stats, tips, and resources to help you develop a defiant mind. 👊🏽
Synthesis is the last piece of a photo series. Spreading out all of the photos you've taken to find the thread that connects them. The color red has come to define Washington DC in my mind. Taken in Northeast DC, a city cab rolls past in the heat. (3/3)

Daddy, today is Veterans Day and I feel your absence the most starting today... my life is so empty and sad without you, and I am doing my best trying to figure out how to live my life without my best friend. Today is your day, though. I am so proud of you and your service. The sacrifices you made and gave to a country and citizens that believed that you were not entitled to the same rights, based on the color of your skin. You not only give your time, but you sacrificed time away from me, you sacrificed your sanity, which in turn demolished your marriage, and you died knowing that the same military that you gave so much for, couldn't even have your back when it was apparent to them the suffering you endured at the hands of a selfish wife. I am so sorry that you gave your all to a military and country that refused to even attempt to match your efforts. But I'm proud and that's all that matters.
