The journey is long, the road is dark and frightening, but together we can reach our destination: the Tasmania of which we all dream , where all are welcome and all prosper, made no longer of lies but truth, built not of rich men’s hate but our love for our island and for each other.”
— Richard Flanagan
White Fossil Rock as I’ve dubbed it, is a rock almost completely covered in bird business. Dubbed White Fossil Rock by me as you can see the evening light hitting the edge of Fossil Cliffs in the background. All part of an amazing adventure with @east_coast_cruises to @mariaislandnationalpark and beyond - thanks to the @canoncollectiveofficial team for organising this adventure and trip leader @jenn.cooper for your expert guidance!
We didn’t hike today. So here’s a throwback to the bridge that led us back to wifi, emails, bills and the importance of table manners and social etiquette - after 6 days in the wilderness... #overlandtrack#discovertasmania#takemeback
Today is the day. Sleeping in our new home. We started looking in earnest approximately 300 days ago (right around the same time I started this stupid 365 project), making our first offer in January of this year... We didn't get it. We didn't get the next seven or so that we made offers on either.
We finally got this little guy.
Through a robbery and a minor flood (after the major flood earlier this year that ruined our couches, whitegoods, books and all the other "house" stuff)and with a lot of help from loved ones, we moved in tonight. I never thought I'd care about a place to live, beyond it being clean and serviceable. I really give a shit about this one though.
I love that this is a home for us, and that we've made it the way we want it. "Nothing in this life worth having, will ever come easy"- Heard it somewhere by someone.
