|| PINK MATTER || The Fergies will be joined by Pink Matter at The Bakery Lane Craft Coffee Festival on Saturday 4th August and you’re invited 🎉
Formed in late 2016, the all female group have swiftly garnered praise winning the QUBE Effect’s ‘People Choices Award’ and receiving airplay on Triple J and 4ZZZ for their debut single ‘Quicksand’. The four-piece band has also performed at Jungle Live Festival and the Valley Mountain Goat Valley Crawl, and played with the likes of The Creases & Bugs. Having just been announced for BIG SOUND 2018, Pink Matter’s impressionistic take on neo soul is sure to make waves.
It was a lovely sunny Winter's day this weekend for the annual Regional Flavours Festival at South Bank. It's a great opportunity to try wine and produce from our nearby neighbours. More importantly it gives them a chance to let us know all the great things to do in their regions. Here's part of the Lockyer Valley display. Last year I did a long weekend in the Scenic Rim area and this year I'll be doing the Granite Belt. So many great places to go, so close to home. Here's a warning though about this event, go early as it gets super busy and squishy by lunch time. It's much easier to get tastings and actually speak to the producers earlier in the day. Plus bring your granny trolley to easily carry all your purchases! #littlemissbrisbane#regionalflavours#tastetest#freshandlocal
The World Press Photo Exhibition finished up at the Powerhouse in Brisbane over the weekend. I was so glad to catch a peek before it closed to gaze upon some pretty miraculous photos 📷➡️💕 Thanks for a great meet @igersbrisbane.
Sorry for the inactivity the past couple of days! It’s been a hugeee week and I’m completely wrecked haha. Hopefully get to do some editing tomorrow and start uploading what I’ve been up to 📸☺️ thanks for sticking with me
22. Opposites Attract - light and dark. Without light there would be no beauty in stained glass windows, without the dark leading there would be no detail to admire.
I had the opportunity to photograph our church in the afternoon light today and enjoyed capturing some details. I’d never noticed the exquisite detail in this trio of windows.
Bee foraging on broad-leaf or paper bark tea tree (Melaleuca Quinquenervia). This Melaleuca goes up to 20 metres with its trunk covered by white, beige and grey thick papery Bark. The grey-green leaves are egg shaped with White bottlebrush like flowers. The tea tree oil is used for coughs, colds, neuralgia and rheumatism.
Bee foraging on a weeping paperbark (Melaleuca Leucadendra). This Melaleuca can grow to more than 20 metres with the trunk covered with thick, white papery park and weeping branches. The flowers are greenish-white with a strong butterscotch sweet fragrance.
How pretty is the @iheartbrowniesofficial shop on the outside!? It reminds me of the famous pink Peggy Porschen shop in London. So excited that we get to enjoy such a unique spot in our home town of Brisbane 😍
Have you visited this romantic travel gem in Brisbane yet? Their heart shaped brownies are the best I've tasted 😍😍😍
