Tremendously awaited with astronomically high expectations, fortunately @meat_thecheese is a safe bet. Super-high quality, with abundant taste value, this “INSANELY CHEESY” beef burger surely brought the house down.
Value for money: 8.5/10
Priced at PKR 715+tax.
This deconstructed Insanely cheesy beef burger was a lot different from the regular places. The bun was top-notch, light and spongy. Laced with melt-in-the-mouth garlic-cheese mayo sauce. The onion rings were super-crispy and superbly fried. The American cheddar cheese had an immensely cheesy-tangy flavour, worth the wait & all the anticipation. The beef patty was grilled to perfection, high on spices & pickles, that was my favourite part. If you are a spice-lover, I am sure this is worth all the love. The beef fillet was a delight, extremely juicy and tender. The rocket leaves, a welcome change from the lettuce,it brought a new dimension to the taste. The fries were fine, could have been crispier. And the creamed potatoes and pineapples was a brilliant replacement for the boring coleslaw. Wouldnt change a thing about this.
The ambience has a minimalistic feel, with the wooden detailing, floral chairs, brown and light blue undertones, some minimalistic lamps and grey flooring. The place was cozy and comforting, yet I found the decor too basic and simple, it lacked an extra zing & extravagance. The service was impeccably fast, the ordertaker knew everything about the burger and that’s a huge plus for me. And they provided with a free honey mustard dip. The quantity is huge for this price.
Absolutely worth all the hype & hoopla, burger was excellent & delectable, the spice-level catches you by surprise, even though digging cheese is my forte. You can get off-the-wheels cheese for PKR 200-300 that I realized later.
After a streak of extremely positive reviews, I tried my hands on Chicken Involtini from @cafesolasta . It was one of the best stuffed chickens I ever had. Served with the garlic-olive oil and herb sauce, sautéed vegetables and delectable fries, the Stuffed chicken is rated as follows:
Value for money: 8/10
It is priced at PKR 775 plus tax.
A modern ( read: cheese’y) take on the classic Italian Involtini, this one is a winner and ticks ALMOST all the correct boxes. The chicken breast is marinated, cut and cooked to perfection. A little more crisp would have taken it a tad higher on the scale. Salt, black pepper and other spices could also have been added in greater quantities as well, for the taste seemed a little bland and a spicier version would have taken it notches higher. That said, I loved the stuffings in this chicken. With particular mascarpone ( creamy Italian cheese), herb cheese, mushroom blend and prosciutto ( thin dried ham), and all of this topped with a creamy, juicy and thick mushroom sauce with loads of mushrooms, this HEAVENLY setting could not get any more perfect. The veggies were okay, the fries were really good and so was the aoili sauce. The service was a tad bit slow and the staff was just fine. The ambience was warm, the sitting area was rather small but I loved the wooden flooring, bricked walls, the greenish-grey hues, it was so so comforting and pleasing to sit there. And it was a really economical place as well, which is a Huge PRO for this place.
So all in all, if it were a little crispier and spicier, it would have been a perfect 8.75 to 9, but nevertheless the stuffings and the mushroom sauce screamed perfection. .
