My mum sent me this pic of a beautiful dining room table and chairs and I’m in love 😍 this is EXACTLY the type of furniture we are looking at! Can you believe we will have the keys to our place this time next week 🙈🙈🙈
Busy day, coffee for 1, and taking a moment. Maybe you’re over there having your tea or coffee break, too, and it’s like we’re together in this short moment. ⠀
So with you here, I want to know: what’s your take on “hustle”? I’ve seen it used both positively and negatively among different people, teachers - and definitions of the word itself range from positive to negative (the traditional dictionary has a negative tone, while urban dictionary is much more positive and focused — this is interesting to me). ⠀
I have to be honest, most of the time I feel like I have to straight hustle 24/7 to keep up with my industry, or just Instagram. Is that wrong? Is hustle wrong, is it energy misplaced?⠀
I’d LOVE to know your thoughts. What does the word ‘hustle’ mean today / mean to you? Do you think it’s a means for success or is it just unproductive busywork?
So this was a table of firsts.. A bow tied top, sprung mortice and wedged tenon breadboard ends, (thanks to @jaybates86 but nowhere near as good as his, the guy is a total beast) with half lap cross jointed legs with wedged through tenons (inspired by @benson_woodworking thanks dude.. ) No glue in the whole base and its as solid as a rock. Kept a woodwormy board in the top, I was going to trim it back, but decided to treat it with wood hardener and leave it as a feature. I've sworn a lot. Over thought a lot. Bled a lot. Not slept a lot. But most importantly I've learned a lot. Haven't even got this out of the shop and already want to make another one. 😂
