Day 8: Nanaimo
Made it out to Loveshack Libations in Qualicum and it was such a neat place. Only open a few hours a week, and doesn't seat many, but it's definitely a great place to hang out.
Walked to wolf brewing. Disappointed haha but they can't all be winners.
Finished up at white sails and met up with my cousins roommate who showed me around town. We ended up getting a boat ride into protection island thanks to Paul Gogo of the band Trooper. Great guy.
Day 9: Chemainus
Drove down to visit my aunt in her new place. Beautiful 5th wheel, probably nicer than my place haha.
Went to riot brewing afterwards, who apparently have the #1 rated dark mild in the world so obviously I have a bottle of that.
Next stop home
Take me to the sea and I will be at home
Hopped in a kayak with @thevanislandgirl, paddled over to the @dinghydockpub (Canada’s only floating pub!!) to enjoy some local beer, and meandered back to the boat launch while checking out sea caves and soaking in the last rays of sunshine. Man I love living on the island 💕
Out... ahhh... #DinghyDock blues... listening and shaking my head. How the fuck does he do that?!?! @sv_trislide for the sweet tones on the new @ryanmcmahonmusic album coming January 19th. New @widemouthmason on the horizon? Sounds like...
