I started #LightWeightTraining in the pool. I decided to enhance my fitness by using #LowImpact workouts such as riding a bike. I ride a total of 15 minutes with breaks because I become very winded. However they aren’t for everyone. If you can’t get your elbows high and close to the horizontal plane you must be work on your shoulder mobility first.

Don’t ‘grip’ the bar- it’ll limit your shoulder mobility more. I have it resting on my finger-tips and rolled back towards my neck. You have to keep the bar there and not any further forward for safe technique.

Calorie deficit. Whether you have a fan-bloody-taculous metabolism and can eat 2,000 calories or it’s a bit shot and can only eat 900 calories, you need to be in a calorie deficit for weightless. Sure, there’s ways you can do it so you feel a bit better, aka micronutrients over 2 cheeseburgers, but at the end of the day it all boils down to it.
STOP saying keto was the miracle. Stop saying hclp was the miracle. Stop saying yak milk with sultanas was the miracle. Share the benefits (although some people need to open their eyes to why the hell they’re doing something if they can’t survive without a buttload of supplements to make up for what they’re cutting out) but don’t be saying it was anything other than a bloody calorie deficit.
“But I cut this out and lost weight.”
Yeah...did you replace those calories? No? ...
And yeah, if you’re knuckling down and want to play with muscle to fat percentages and how macronutrients play into it, sure. But if you don’t 1000% understand it or your coach can’t show you white paper evidence, don’t be going there. The average person just needs a wee bit of balance, a pretty decent mental place and some self control.
