My husband and I have a weekend tradition of eating burritos for lunch. We started to share this with E and she is totally on board! She had a lot of fun unwrapping the tortilla and throwing it on the the floor but ate the filling. We also had fried eggs with cheddar, avocado, oranges and blackberries (cut into quarters lengthwise for the baby)

The burrito is store bought from Trader Joe’s (swipe). We have tried all of their prepared burritos and this black bean with jack cheese is our fave. Probably an easy thing to make at home with way less sodium but we love the convenience on the weekends.

Big batch of the golden milk spice blend
1.5 c ground turmeric
2/3 c ground ginger
1/3 c ground cinnamon
2.5 T ground black pepper
2 T ground cardamom
3 T ground cloves
2.5 T ground nutmeg
3 T ground anise
1/4 c ground coriander 
Combine 1/2 t of golden milk spice blend with 1 cup of vanilla soy milk, optional 1 t of honey. Heat until simmers. Enjoy! ☕️

This is why I try to always keep HEALTHY frozen foods in my freezer. That way, I avoid having to eat out or order in, two things that usually end up being quite costly💰, and sometimes less healthy🍕.

This meal (besides the chickpeas and the spinach under the rice) was entirely frozen! The veggie brown rice, veggie dumplings, and frozen green beans were all from Trader Joes, and only took a couple of minutes to prepare! .
I like to keep frozen cauliflower rice, spinach, a medley of vegetables, and one or two "meal like foods" (rice etc.) in my freezer so I can whip up a healthy meal in no time! .

I have a nasty cold, and my body is telling me to rest (oh how I miss you #liift4 ) Today I am resting in my sweatshirt and sweatpants all snuggled up in my recliner. I decided I wanted soup 🥣 so I added extra chicken broth to my chicken and brown rice lunch. Now I have some warm, comforting soup to eat. So thankful to already have freezer meals today.

The Tuesday after a long weekend is always kind of tough for us. Breakfast is rushed. Audrey and Vivi want fancy pancakes with fruits and whipped cream. All I got for them are toasts and jam. In between breakfast and toddler tantrum, we managed to get everyone ready and even made it to where we needed to be on time! Now I get sit down for a few minutes, enjoy my kids’ leftover breakfasts and then tackle the giant mess that is our house. It’s filled with arugula, roasted seasonal veggies, and faro. I love adding warm grains and roasted veggies to my salads. Not only will it make them more filling and satisfying, but our bodies like warm foods! They are much easier to digest (see Ayurveda). What to do with these fresh red tomatoes 🍅🍅🍅? I bought a whole bag directly from the farm and can't wait to eat them! 😊

They are packed with the antioxidant -Lycopene which is beneficial for heart health and is showing to be protective against prostate cancer. 
Since cooking tomatoes actually help the Lycopene to work better-i'm thinking of roasting them with some other veggies and throwing them into a pasta sauce 😍

Tomatoes also contain vitamin A, C, calcium and potassium.

we come to the conclusion something is wrong with us when our search for a partner doesn’t turn out the way we want it to
we feel embarrassed of what others think when in truth, I know every single season of loneliness I have is going to change me for the better
I’m going to come out stronger
I’m going to become more and more of the woman I want to be
and I’m going to grow in ways I never thought I could
changing from a habit of partner searching to soul searching is one of the most worthwhile things I know I’m ever going to do
and while it may be frustrating to convince the ones around me of my intentions and where my heart is at I am keeping in mind the only person I ever have to please is myself 💕

This week’s meal theme: clean out the pantry, refrigerator, & freezer before Thanksgiving.
- @traderjoeslist cauliflower gnocchi (which I baked and it was perfect)
-potato gnocchi
-roasted peppers and fennel
-sautéed mushrooms, & kale 🥬 -roasted whole chicken 🍗 
It all got thrown together in the Dutch oven, with some pesto and TJ’s Autumn Veggie sauce. 
Our bellies are full and freezer is empty. Bring it Thanksgiving.

Missed lunch at work today so this is my after work snack/lunch before going to the gym!

Wanted to keep it light before my workout so this was the perfect answer: apple with cinnamon, carrots, blueberries and cucumber ➕ 12g of protein from the almonds and @tillamook pepper jack cheese! 😋
✨ This meal is also a reminder that eating healthy doesn’t always mean a complicated recipe with lots of prep time!!! ✨
Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed: sometimes just throwing together some fruits & veggies and a good source of protein is enough to keep you satisfied and healthy and give your body all sorts of vital vitamins and micronutrients 💕

Lo prometido es deuda... Y aquí os indicamos la receta 👩‍🍳📝 de esas 🍪COOKIES 🍪 DE DÁTILES 🍈 Y COCO 🥥, tan crujientes y deliciosas. .

👩‍🍳 INGREDIENTES: 🔺125 gramos de harina de espelta integral 🌾, 🔺 100 gramos de dátiles 🍈 deshuesados al natural, 🔺80 gramos de aceite de coco 🥥, 🔺 45 gramos de tahina 🌰, 🔺 1 huevo 🥚 entero, 🔺 1/2 c.p. de levadura química 🍚, 🔺 un puñado de nibs de chocolate negro 🍫 (opcional).

👩‍🍳 ELABORACIÓN: 1️⃣ Triturar la tahina con los dátiles, el huevo y el aceite de coco. 2️⃣ Añadir la harina y la levadura.  3️⃣ Homogenizar hasta obtener una masa espesa. 4️⃣ Formar bolas y aplastarlas en la bandeja del horno, tapizada con papel vegetal. Y colocar los nibs en cada una, bien distribuidos. 5️⃣ Precalentar el horno 🔥 a 180°C (con aire y por arriba y abajo), y cocerlas durante 15 minutos. .

The diet industry is making so much money off of folks trying to suppress their appetite. Why is it that we think being hungry is such a bad thing? If my bladder is full then I expect it to tell me to go to the bathroom. If my stomach is empty, don’t I want it to tell me? Shouldn’t I listen to it?
