At Toptots our philosophy is to keep things simple, use what you have available and make everyday things a learning experience.
Teaching toddlers colour and shapes can be fun. Use their natural energy to teach them these skills. Draw shapes on your driveway with coloured jumbo chalk. Draw nice big shapes. Encourage them to jump into the shapes, walk around the shapes or throw bean bags into the shapes. Colours take a long time to teach. Involving gross motor activities with teaching colours makes it more fun for your toddler. Cut out shapes from coloured cardboard and use as targets on the wall by throwing small bean bags at the targets. Name the colour you are throwing at. You can add more fun to the game by asking that your child throw a red bean bag at the blue triangle etc.
#DidYouKnow there is a metering factory in Akwa Ibom? I had a chat with the General Manager, Tolu Ogunkolade during my short stay in Akwa Ibom.
It is indeed a great fact to note that UDOM Emmanuel's economic policy is attracting investments into the state and businesses are thriving.
particularly great things for us humans. The small caveat, though, is that we need to be able to breathe in order to make use of our atmospheric oxygen; if you can’t – a collapsed lung or blocked windpipe, say – you’d typically be out of luck. Until now.
Scientists have developed a new microparticle filled with oxygen that can be injected into the blood stream, keeping you alive even if you can’t intake air into your lungs. The microparticles are actually tiny capsules (2-4 micrometers tiny) made of a single layer of lipids surrounding a small bubble of oxygen gas. The capsule is suspended in a liquid so that the bubbles don’t get any bigger (which would make them deadly, FYI). Upon injecting the capsule-filled liquid into the bloodstream, the capsules crash into your red blood cells, transferring the oxygen gas from the capsule to the cell. About 70% of the oxygen injected successfully makes its way into the blood stream this way. This injection method was so successful that the scientists managed to keep rabbits with blocked windpipes alive for fifteen whole minutes.
My question is, if you could just have a steady stream of these capsules injected into your blood, could you just stay underwater forever?

The Indian judicial system, being the world's largest, has many laws to serve this purpose. Unfortunately, due to lack of public awareness, the laws fail to take action. Let's see what are these.
1. Domestic Violence: This falls under Section 498A of the IPC. According to this law, any person can complain about any incident where a family member has offended him or her cruelly or with the intention of cruelty. 2. Propaganda: The Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, prohibits any individual or organisation to publish or help post, publish, exhibit or advertise - online or offline - any kind of representation of women that can be considered to be indecent.
3. Dowry: Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, says that if any one gives or receives or even helps the exchange, he or she will face a jail term five years or more and a fine of Rs 15,000 or the sum of dowry, whichever is more.
4. Eve Teasing: Sections 294 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) prohibit any individual or group of people pass any kind of offensive comment or execute any such gesture towards a girl.

#didyouknow Manuka honey has its own unique grading system, a little bit like the SPF ratings used to show the strength of sunscreen. In the case of Manuka honey, however, this grading relates to the antibiotic properties of the honey. Check out our blog for more information: http://ow.ly/EPFT30lthnv ---------------------------

The biggest, baddest bear in Banff National Park doesn't just eat other bears and impregnate females to demonstrate his dominance, he also gets struck by a train and lives to tell the tale.
To say Bear 122 has a bit of a reputation would be a gross understatement — the 15-year-old bear weighs in at roughly 300 kilograms, has eaten a black bear, is often the first bear out of hibernation, and is well known for having fathered many of the cubs in Banff, Yoho and Kootenay national parks.
Bear safety tips from Alberta ParksCannibal grizzly Split Lip likely gobbled smaller bear due to food stress
Steve Michel, a human wildlife conflict specialist with Banff National Park, said researchers believe "The Boss" grizzly was struck by a train several years ago.
In spite of that, tracking data shows that the bear continues to use the railways heavily, for travel and foraging. "He probably learned a lesson from that, making sure that he gets himself off the tracks when a train is approaching," Michel said.
According to Parks Canada mapping, the bear frequently crosses high-speed, heavy-traffic highways, including the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 93S. "I think he's actually been lucky in that he has been able to survive while utilizing these transportation corridors for so long," Michel said.
