Congrats to our Heuser Hugh Five member of the month, Greg Blakemore!

Greg is originally from Harrodsburg, Ky but grew up in Louisville. Greg owns a company called the Nehemiah Group and Compassion Medical Network. He is Married to Karen Blakemore and they have 2 daughters, Dana and Lauren.

Greg decided to join Heuser Health after being diagnosed with diabetes. After meeting with Dr. Heuser and Peggy, he was ready to get started. .
Since joining the program, he has seen some huge improvements! Greg’s body fat% went from 26% down to 20%. In addition to that, Greg says his waist measurements went down, and that he is seeing definition in his arms, chest and legs. His strength is increasing too!

Greg started the program weighing 220 pounds and it now down to 198. His end goal is to weigh 180 lbs. We have no doubt that you will reach that goal, keep up the great work Greg!

In this day and age, we have a world of research to help us make better decisions. Instead of instant gratification when eating a cake, making some substitutes day to day goes a long way, like having a fruit salad instead. Making the better decision may not prevent disease entirely because there are other factors at play like pollution of course.

Choosing to live an active lifestyle and making good food choices is a huge key. 😉

Well today is more of a #celebration rather than #stresseating. Hubs didnt know, I just told him, I feel like going out and have #zanmai #japanesefood for a change

We both have been following this superfood program and we both achiving tremendous results and its not even a month. I, for one, with #healthyeating and #gymroutine, I can definitely see results faster. But my love here, he has actually lose more weight than he ever been- 5kg in 2 weeks? Isnt that amazing? Alhamdullilah, all we want is to #takecontrol of our health and be better parents to our kids and setting good examples for them ❤️

Mostly the celebration today for me is for my efforts and hard work in consistently guiding and consulting my diabetes patients in my clinic have paid off. Patients coming to me sharing good news with me, beaming proudly showing their sugar level results to me after seeing their doctors. I feel like a #proudparent. Some of them are like younger sister or brother, some are like my own uncles/aunts, who shared their tiniest bit of secret in the their daily eating schedule. I can know if they are sneaking something in their diet 😂 so they cant lie to me. And I can know it durian season or what McDonalds latest promo without me going out there to find out. Bcoz my patients will eat it first and it will pop up in their food diary. 😅 For last few weeks, my patients will come to me and ask, “please its #durian season, how much can I eat it?”. Do you think I will allow it? No?? 😈 Im not that cruel😂 Of course I can allow them but limit to 2 seeds only😅.

Next is #mooncake festival. How I know? Because I can see mooncakes popping out from their food diary 😆

Researchers at the University of Boulder Colorado and the University of Tennessee found that regular walking lowered blood pressure by as much as 11 points and may reduce the risk of stroke by 20% to 40%. ⠀
The New England Journal of Medicine found that those who walked enough to meet physical activity guidelines (30 or more minutes of moderate activity on 5 or more days per week) had a 30% lower risk of cardiovascular disease, compared with those who did not walk regularly. ⠀
