It’s gonna rain from today to the next couple days and I can’t take pictures 😭 my apartment doesn’t get natural lighting and this gloomy weather makes it worse 😞
Anyway, I haven’t been wearing the slightest make up after I’m back and I feel great! My skin felt great! But I have a dinner with friends tonight so I decided to even out my skin complexion a bit, cover that redness on my cheeks with this @amorepacific_us Color Control Cushion Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50+
This cushion feels so lightweight, like I don’t have anything on my face. It gave me that sheer coverage, enough to even out my skin but all my imperfections are still peeking through (you get what I mean?) I always prefer light makeup anyway so this is perfect 👌🏻 .
I always hesitated to get a cushion cause either it’s too light or too pink for my skin tone. I’m glad I gave this a try. I went to Sephora and swatched it before buying it. I got the travel size first before committing with the full size. My color is 204 by the way 😉
The puff itself is dense but airy at the same time. It makes application a lot easier and even.
This cushion also gives me that glow finish without being greasy ✨ I could get away without powdering it (I did powder it a bit when I used it back in Indonesia since it was so humid there).
Need I say more? I freaking love this cushion and will repurchase it. Oh, it also comes with a refill 😉
What’s your fave cushion compact? And what kind of finish do you prefer? Do share in the comments section 😊
Had some of the worst days of my life this week. And I feel that small things like makeup are the ones that keep you going when you go through harsh times. Those small nice rituals and little pleasures suddenly get to be very important🖤

What’s up with all these facial sprays?
Now, I believe one of the most misunderstood skincare products would be facial sprays or mists. And it’s true— why would you pay X amount of money just to spray your face with water (plus some shmancy ingredients)?
Well... in my case, it’s because I use these for different purposes. 💦 And for some people, there’s no effect on them and it’s totally fine. Not all products work for everyone. These are my personal categories:
I love anything hydrating. Though I do have oily skin, my skin just loves any extra boost of hydration! The sprays like ⚡️ #humanheartnature ‘s Hydrating Facial Mist (special thanks to Lori 🤗) is my favorite for this! (Local product tho!) It has a cooling effect that lasts, which makes my skin feel fresh and clean. Second comes the ⚡️ #mariobadescu famous Rosewater Spray. NOW, at first use, I felt like I didn’t get my money’s worth. I mean... it wasn’t hydrating, but it was enough. It wasn’t soothing, but it didn’t irritate my skin. The more that I used it, the more I looked for it. The more I felt like I needed it to add moisture to my skin.
Ok... my *new* favorite all-around spray is #commleaf ’s Rose Blooming Mist. It has the most natural rose scent that calms me. I use it for anything and anywhere. There are days I feel like my skin feels dirty and dull, and this instantly refreshes me. I also have another product that’s becoming my HG for soothing but I’ll have a separate post for that. 💪🏼
3️⃣ AS AN ALTERNATIVE
I love on-the-go, easy to apply products so much! The ⚡️ #caudalie Beauty Elixir sometimes serve as my primer before makeup, and a setting spray as well! It works amazing between foundation and powder! My ⚡️ #sageandtera Aftermask Spray is always my go-to after masking— not just s&g masks, but almost all clay masks I use! Amazing scent that isn’t too strong. Lastly is my ⚡️ #cosrx Cooling Aqua Facial Mist that I love to travel with. It’s 80ml, so you can bring it on the plane! I use it as a replacement for my toners when I travel and it’s so effective. ☀️
Trying to get a summer glow! Isle of Paridise was kind enough to send over some of their self-tanning products. They sent the self-tanning drops, the mousse, and the water all in the light color. I’ve never ever self tanned but I’ve always been intrigued. My face is always a totally different color than my arms, especially in the summer. So I was really interested in trying to even things out. I think I was always nervous I’d end up orange or streaky. But these products have been really easy to use and have left a nice tan, not too dark and not orange! Also I love that this brand is vegan, cruelty free, and organic! I’ve been super impressed with the brand and with my results. My favorite product has to be the drops. They look and have the consistency of a serum, you add 2-12 drops in with your facial or body moisturizer. I like that you can customize how dark of a tan you want. I’ve mostly used those for my face before bed and wake up with a nice glow. Then the self-tanning water I’ve used on my legs. It’s not sticky and drys down quickly, so it’s easy to go right to bed after you put on the tan. No stained sheets. This also gave a nice glowing tan! ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀
