[SITZ BONES] The ischial tuberosity (or tuberosity of the ischium, tuber ischiadiucum), also known informally as the SIT BONES, or as a pair of sitting bones is a large swelling posteriorly on the superior ramus of the ischium
It marks the lateral boundary of the pelvic outlet: each hip will have its own personality..which can also be refined 🔧⚙️
When sitting the weight is frequently placed upon the ischial tuberosity. The gluteus maximus provides cover in the upright posture, but leaves it free in the seated position
The ischia or SITZ bones are a great place to feel your foundation. This sensitivity can give you a starting place to stack yourself
After you find the hips you work to repair the relationship with the ribs. Discovering the relationship with your SITZ, sacrum and sternum can be a specific way to understand positioning
Initially there might be a huge transition period in just finding/controlling your SITZ bones..which is why our initial intervention is a bent over position…lessen the knees and get them to associate with the NEW system…
This can also give you a better perspective of the erectors and how they work based off the hip and/or ribs
Not saying to torture that area…but work to find it as a landmark and then associate with the bottom ribs. You will probably find the trunk musculature is not too familiar with the position..but with gained sensitivity and strength it adapts
Having a understanding and awareness of where your SITZ bones are will allow you to make your own rules about sitting… a different perspective on applicable strength

Keep timelines⏰📆 Write a “TO-DO” list daily ✅📝 Stay OFF social media regularly 📲👀 Have REFLECTION/MEDITATION time nightly 🌙
This will help you FOCUS and better able to make your dreams a REALITY!! 😉💋

Looking back I wish someone would have stressed the importance of nutrition and fitness. Even if it would have been pointing my weight gain out. 🌱
I think we often times get caught up in trying to love ourselves as we are, that we forget we can make ourselves what we love. ⚠️ The problem with that is, it’s so hard to love your body when you can barely breathe going up stairs. My joints were screaming at me in pain. Running a block felt like 2 Miles. I was so unhealthy I was sleeping 10 hours a day, eating all the foods I shouldn’t, and the only time I went to the gym was to sign up. 😩🍔 There is an obvious physical difference in these two pictures. It was a huge added bonus, however that is not the transformation that mattered. 👀
I no longer make weekly trips to a Chiropractor. I can actually run a full 2 Miles and do so on a regular basis. The gym became my second home. Most of all I feel healthy and can live a fulfilled life happy in the skin a wear.💪🏻😍 I may have lost 70 pounds but I gained my life. 💜
