Ah man was this a fun day !! @bohairmakeup @caudleyourskin two amazing humans who eloped in Joshua Tree last weekend. They are both from the mid-west. Bo does hair and make up, Keith a Esthetician. They have been together for 10 years and I was so very thankful to be a part of there special day in Palm Springs. I just love me some Joshua Tree 🙌🏻
I’m always inspired by the Arts District. I love the murals, the textures, the light and shadows...and couples who choose it as their wedding day setting! This rad Millwick wedding is up my blog & linked in my bio 🖤👆

I loooooove the desert. So. Much. I’m constantly in awe of this place and it’s clever, resilient life. And the light here is my faaaaavorite ever. Rain or shine (and this pic is post heavy desert rain!), this place has my heart. ❤️❤️❤️ .
taken while second shooting for the flippin awesome @vienna_glenn!
I don’t have another desert wedding on the books until October of 2019! I need to change that ASAP. Or maybe I just need to plan the desert vacation that I’ve always wanted to enjoy! 🌵

The past few days have been so refreshing. Working full time, having a family, running a business, and all the other things that life entails sometimes leaves you feeling desperate and stuck. This picture might have you thinking we just ran around in the desert taking advantage of the pretty light (and yes, believe me - we did) but we learned so much too. I learned things I wasn’t expecting to learn, I learned things I thought I already knew (but now I know more), and I learned things about myself. I strongly believe every photographer needs to mark the Showit United conference off their list. The people I have met, the conversations shared, the time spent exploring the other side of the country, laughs, lots of tears and everything in between - United was just what I needed. I can’t wait to get back to work and start implementing all the new business strategies into my work flow learned from some of the best in the business! 🌵🧡🌵🧡🌵🧡
It's hard to believe that this was over two years ago! You can see more of Erica and Drakes day on my profile highlights. Also, day one of the #RRPphotochallenge is all about WHY.
Understanding our personal WHY for wanting to freeze moments of time and capture memories forever. I am sharing more in my stories. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’m going through some work from earlier this year and I re-edited a few and I’m just feelin the colors on this so here I am posting for the second time today. This was from a shoot down in Big Bend National Park in May, put together by @taylorolivares that kick-started my love for that part of Texas and served as a major inspiration behind the shoot in Marfa I put together in September. Tap for the vendors involved.
ever since i had my first camera, i would think of a location first, concept second. i would pick the location and after that i could see what outfit or emotion went with it. doing what i do now, it’s the same challenge. i pick a spot and have to figure out what emotion or pose goes best. is it playful or heartfelt? should i shoot wide or tight? ⠀⠀
so when i’m standing there just staring at you during the shoot, i’m not being a total idiot 🙃, i’m just thinking. thinking about all of this in 30 seconds to make sure i showcase your love right. ❤️
Do you remember turning 5? When the playground was what you waited for, you were immune to the weather... playing in the rain and even in the hot summer sun. Being 5 meant running fast and racing the wind... laying on the warm grass and finding pictures in the clouds, eating hot dogs and thinking they were the best food EVER! Being 5 was a good age... smiles for days thinking about “5”!!!
I do this thing where I’m looking at my own images constantly to the point where I convince myself that the rest of the world has seen them as much as I have, when in reality, they’ve barely seen them at ALL. Like this shoot I thought oh I talk about this shoot all the time when in reality I’ve ever only posted about it TWICE. AND IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. So here, enjoy this image that I was convinced you’ve seen 100 times before. Photographers, double tap if you can relate 🤷🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
I would happily walk 31,785 steps for Kat + Naaman all over again. Thank you @gregoryross for bringing these beautiful humans into my life and for this beautiful photo. Bouquet by the ridiculously talented @foxtail_florals.

Guess what... the most amazing thing about this quote is that we haven’t actually reached the end of our story!
What kind of life do you want to create?
What do you want your story to say about you?
Me... I want to be remembered for being authentic... for loving people... and for laughter...
I challenge you to leave one word in the comments that describes the type of legacy you want to leave...
What I learned about Fall and pumpkin patches in Southern California:
•Always go at dusk
•Indulge in cider •Bring your best buddy
•Hand pick your field pumpkin
•Buy extra ride tickets
• Hold hands
•Always do the corn field maze •Lots of smiles and laughter
•Take lots of pictures •Make memories
Everyday working on my reframe. Jealousy into support, hate into love, anxiety into peace... It all takes strength. It's a huge step in my way of thinking even to recognize my knee jerk emotions let alone stopping to address why I feel this way and deciding to change. What are you working on “internally”? ❤️🙏🏻✨
