“Life is passing rapidly. Fiercely commit to every moment you find beautiful and remember it. Fully, whole-heartedly inhabit it. Awareness is one of the greatest things you can posses in this life as it is important as the very air we breath and water we drink to stay alive.” -Victoria Erickson
I’ve been wanting to ride the Mrazek trail for 4 years now but have always been too intimidated to do it alone and also didn’t really think my ratchety old bike could make it. 😂(upgrade!) Well this weekend I checked it off the old bucket list with some good friends and it was everything I thought it would be and more! Lots of climbing and the longest ride I’ve done to date but the views were worth it and so were the beers after at @10barrelbrewing #prayforsnow . Capped off the weekend yesterday at a @streetdoghero adoption event so it’s safe to say it was an epic weekend! ☺️☺️☺️
Hey Bend friends, that smoke in the air this morning is from the controlled burns up in Deschutes National Forest. It’s super freaky, for sure, but necessary. I wandered around one of the burn sites the other morning. It was interesting - and amazing - to watch the ground cover burn while the trees remained untouched. For the most part, the ground was smoldering with pine needles and grass simultaneously igniting and extinguishing into a pile of ash and smoke as the burn line slowly creeped about. Scattered about were tiny fires, igniting piles of brush and fallen logs, but unable to convince any trees to join them. This is why it is done now.
Sometimes you just need a weekend in the woods with good people to clear your mind... @apolloniarose caught a fish with her bare hands, tons of #baldeagles catching fish, hot springs, and some crazies who got in the ice cold lake late night. Happy 30th Apple! Grateful I could be a part of it all ⛰ #pnw#oregon#tbt#weekendvibes#deschutesnationalforest

Growing up has taught me so much. Every experience.. good, bad, funny & sad has shaped me into the person I am today. I understood from a young age how happy traveling and visiting new places made me. I crave the unknown and different experiences. I learned to love being on my own because you're not always going to have someone standing by your side. If you want something you're the only person that can make it happen, no one can hold you back. I love the fact that I'm able to say "I made it happen." I worked hard and I'm cherishing every moment of this life ! Anyways, here a bunch of pictures of me walking away from stuff.
