A United Korea could happen not so far in the future. We believe that a United Korea is beneficial to the entire world. The world powers must strive and work together to unite Korea under a democratic government. We must save the North from there evil regime under Kim Jong Un. Millions are starving in the North but, if united under the South Korea government we can fix these problems. The North and South must be United! #northkorea#southkorea#unitedkorea#unifiedkorea#china#russia#unitedstates#america#democracy

We have been getting some questions about Voting Registration so we decided to answer some
1. I can’t remember if I’ve ever registered to vote before or where I’ve registered to vote. Do I need to fill out a voter registration form? > YES. If you are unsure if you are registered, you should register now on our website.
2. I registered to vote but I never got a voter registration card in the mail. Should I fill out a new form? > If you’re pretty sure that you are registered correctly, just check with your local registrar – as not all states send out voter registration cards. If you registered right before the election deadline, the state might not have time to get a card out to you. Info on how to check your registration status can be found here. But if you are unsure, you can always re-register here today. Go to our website now!
3. If I’ve moved from another state, is this considered a “Change Of Address” or a “New Registration”, or on some states’ forms a “new voter”? >ALL THREE! You should fill out the sections that ask for your previous registered voting address with as much detail as you can remember. If you register to vote in a new state, you will be considered a first time voter and will be required to provide ID at the polls – this might be a photo ID or simply a document verifying your new address (such as a utility bill, bank statement or paystub). #vote#ivoted#GoVote#Democracy#PowerToThePeople#midtermseason#MidtermsMatter#politics#art#knittersofinstagram#knitart#knowYourRights#RegisterToVote#MidtermsMatter2018#CHAKRADigital

Article published today on the BBC about Bobi Wine. For those who don't know Bobi Wine is a singer turned MP in Uganda. He is very popular with the youth and one of the few to stand up to the current government. This article says "he has never been arrested or tortured". If the journalist had done some research he would know Bobi Wine is currently under arrest and suspected of having been tortured and denied medical treatment. There have been protests to free him and protestors were shot at. Why is none of that information in the article??

#latergram Saw this beautiful ancestor altar dedicated to Thomas Mundy Peterson, the first African-American to vote in an election under the just-enacted provisions of the 15th Amendment to the United States Constitution. Thank you @NatBlackTheatre for reminding us to honor Mr. Peterson & his legacy by voting!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sunday Musings: We don't usually do this but errr... and by this we mean talk about political movements such as Democratic Socialism...but there's something more meaningful than a political label-something deeper resonates with this story; Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 28 year old congress woman from the Bronx. Here is a snippet from a profile published by Refinery 29: "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says women like her are not supposed to be elected to Congress. She is the daughter of a Puerto Rican mother and a South Bronx-born father, doesn't belong to a New York City political dynasty, and comes from a borough where nearly half of the neighborhoods are considered high poverty or extreme poverty areas. "I was born in a place where your zip code determines your destiny," she said in a viral ad released in May.
Ocasio-Cortez might defy all the ideas of what an elected official should look like, but that's not stopping her. If anything, she's ready for the fight."
