How tiny we are.

#utah  #rafting  #deadhorsepoint

I wanted to get away from the crowds in Arches NP and Moab so I decided to visit dead horse point for sunset. I knew that this place is not that overcrowded as it might seem... Just a few yards away from the overlook platform you can find a lot of places with great views to sit down and enjoy... It is pretty amazing to have this silence around you. Just me, myself and I. .

* Dia 2: Moab: Canyonlands (Isles in the Sky)
* Dia 3: Moab: Arches ->Monument Valley
* Dia 4: Monument Valley –> Grand Canyon (neste dia visitamos o Antelope Canyon)
* Dia 5: Borda norte do Grand Canyon
* Dia 6:  Borda norte do Grand Canyon ->Zion National Park
* Dia 7: Zion National Park ->Salt Lake City
* Dia 8: Salt Lake City

#deadhorsepoint #canyonlandsnationalpark #ideiasnamala #roadtrip

Moab, Utah.
We have arrived home in Tennessee after almost a week in Colorado. And although I am grateful to return to the comfort of our house, our pets, our jobs, and the aspects of our lives that are familiar, I am always sad to say goodbye to the West, the mountains, the red rocks — the landscapes that remind me how small I am and how big the world is. Over and over again, these places help me rediscover who I am.
—
You see, It’s always standing amidst the grandeur of the mountains, marveling at the vastness of the desert, or staring up at colossal canyon walls that I am reminded of what I really want out of life. In the unknown and also the familiarity of the foreign and the wilderness, when technology and social media and comparison and constant busyness and routine are stripped away, I am inevitably forced to be not just present with my own thoughts, but also present in conversation with those accompanying me. When there is no internet or cell phone service and thus no outside influences my goals are no longer swayed by what is expected by society or even by my peers.
—
In those moments I am reminded of what is most important, reminded that the emails can wait, reminded that another’s success doesn’t look the same as mine, and I am reminded to live intentionally. Ultimately, I am taught time and time again that really the most valuable thing any of us has is time. And I don’t want to ever take mine for granted. —⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
