New stuff spotted!
The #dcshg looks nice. The "student uniforms" look a bit bulky, but are somewhat cute. It's a shame they haven't thought of giving them everyday fashions or at least decent variations of their super hero outfits.
The Barbie hair kingdom... Or something.. they are HUGE I hiught they were just a bit bigger than the regular stuff.
Aaaand the "toddler" size Enchantimal, OTOH, I thought would be bigger than that. The "marks" on the face work better on the smaller scale, they are too "hard" on the big one.
#superherosaturday was technically yesterday...but better late than never right?!!! 2016- I was lucky enough to get to design two @target exclusive “premium” dolls for Spring 2018 DCSHG - the Comic Classics! When you work together w a amazing brand like #DCSHG , you’re not allowed to share your original sketch bc it’s super top secret 🙅🏻♀️👀... but I am allowed to share illustrations I make after of my toys, so that’s what I’m going to start doing ✍🏻👩🏻🎨⭐️ I knew I wanted to do a set of dolls that focused on their classic heritage looks with a fresh twist, so I got thinking 🤔... and immediately thought of classic Harley and then inspiration hit...⚡️”classic” Gotham girls!!! 🦇 🤡
Up first is our girl Harley - HQ appeared first in 1992 in Batman: The Animated Series in a full jumpsuit + cowl in that iconic red/black combo which I LOVE ❤️ I remixed the classic jumpsuit into a more modern a-line dress for a fresher look (and also because core Harley comes in shorts so I wanted to offer a dress option) but kept it classic with the original red /black color scheme + I even got to add silver/foil logos on either side of her dress for that #superherosparkle . For her accessories I knew I wanted all those #dcheritage touches, so I got to design a all new “jester” neck frill with diamond detailing, frilled cuffs for the hands and a playful pair of jester inspired boots!
