Kamila. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #ferias#psicologia#psicologa#clinica#cognitivocomportamental#dbt#cuiaba
Panic attacks can be very frightening. Exploring the root causes of anxiety in therapy can be very powerful. Learning that anxiety is only a part of you, and does not consume you. Simple self help techniques can also be helpful. Eating well, getting enough rest, surrounding yourself with friends and family and being kind and non judgemental to yourself. Knowledge is power 👍🏽 #dbt#counselling#psychotherapy#bekind#itsgoingdown#itsoknottobeok#ware#panic
Sometimes you get thrown a curve ball. It throws you off and you try to regain footing but sometimes you actually swing and miss. It throws you out of your routine and your expectations. Through the process of getting back out there after striking out, remind yourself of this verse above. God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. God is with you in the middle of your suffering. He is helping you regain your footing to get back out in the game. You may strike out again but God is your refuge and strength. He gives you what you need to go back out there. Thank you, Jesus.
I recently finished my 6 month long DBT group and am feeling elated by this accomplishment. 6 months ago I was in a totally different headspace with some really unhealthy habits. My problems aren’t all gone now that I’m done, but I’ve been given some amazing tools and skills that I’ll carry with me forever.
I was always really hesitant about doing therapy because there’s such a stigma around mental health and unfortunately my mental health issues make me feel like a monster sometimes, which I know isn’t the truth but it’s still hard to shake.
I truly believe that group therapy saved me, to be able to be in a room filled with people who validate what you’re feeling, it makes you feel less alone. My community these past months has been super supportive and helpful, I’m really excited to see what this next chapter has in store for me moving forward.
If you ever feel that your emotions are “too much” or you find that you’re having more low days than high days, just know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. so many people share those feelings, that doesn’t make you broken and definitely does not decrease your value as a human.
We all deserve love ❤️ If you ever feel trapped in a sunken place please know that I AM HERE FOR YOU. Even if we don’t talk, I want you to know that you’re not alone.
I looked at myself in the mirror and proceeded to observe 🤔🤔🤔 (nonjudgementally -->very important) the thoughts that come naturally to me and i found that majority of them were negative and this has been the norm for so long that I've become blind to it. 😭😮 Feeling a little silly and embarrassed, I started to affirm myself.😏😼 LOUDLY. I have to say it made a big difference to me
What we say to ourselves MATTER. We don't always have to be our biggest cheerleader but we can always appreciate if we're kind to ourselves.
Try it! look at yourself in the mirror and just notice the thoughts that come. Try to avoid judging yourself...just listen
Sending you love and I wish you have a great day
Honey I don’t not give a FUCKKKKK. Even the word calorie kinda pisses me off lol. It’s as harmful as measuring worth or respectability in lbs or kg. Fixating on those numbers distracts from actual nutritional needs, diverse body shapes, health, happiness, etc. There are so many aspects to life...last thing I have time for is calories. 😂👅🧁🍛🌮🥞🥗🍕🍟🍰🍘🍱🍖🥜🌮🍩🍪🍰🍣🍧🍫🍤🍜🍯🥛🍝🥐🍠🍞🌽 via @kenziebrenna
Hello SHPE Familia!
Today we want to congratulate and recognize Sergio Baron for graduating with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
How has SHPE impacted your professional and academic career?
Being a part of SHPE gave me guidance in my academic and professional career. Forming part of a group of people that have similar goals and values motivated me to pursue opportunities I may otherwise not have.
Plans after graduation: Working in a full time engineering position
LETS TALK ABOUT IT:
I thought I put up in next but few tips & tricks I try to use for my mental health:
I’m not therapist but I thought I put up a few things in my mental health tool box
So first up Wise mind: ————————————————————————
Let’s start with what it is!
Wise Mind is that place where reasonable mind and emotion mind overlap. It is the integration of emotion mind and reasonable mind. Linehan states, "Wise mind is that part of each person that can know and experience truth. It is where the person knows something to be true or valid
living in a place of wise mind is a constant struggle for a girl who loves holidays but feels so much.
It’s also the best way I stay safe, regulated & WISE. —————————————
It’s the world of your reason mind & emotion work together. To make safe healthy choices that in end will most likely keep you sane!
It takes work for me to use both sides and not jump to my emotion heart that I love so deeply
At first I thought using this skill take away that emotion that makes me who I am. But it actually keeps me in balance & makes choices that don’t put me in a bad place. Which helps me be able lead with my heart.
