Day 48: Driving all over California, the beach is an obvious choice. Crystal Cove State Park is where I ended up today. The crashing of the waves silences the nearby roadway. The sand feels natural beneath my toes, and unlike in Oregon, there were no tiny creatures nibbling so I was able to walk leisurely in the water. I'm in no hurry as the waves wash away a layer of sand from my feet. The fellow beach goers are friendly as they pass by. Two do an impromptu photo shoot near by. I don't want to disturb them so on their way passing by I ask how it went. They say well and compliment my camera which I return about their Cannon. No brand bias here.
We are taking the train to Santa Barbara for a #vacationday
”On days when it seems the food for the journey is clay, not bread, and the spirit famished, as dusk transfigures everything I pause . . . listening. -Barry Spacks, former Poet Laureate of Santa Barbara
