Here are the notes, so you can read them, especially to all the beekeepers who liked the previous post. The #hive is made of a hollowed-out #datepalm . What’s not mentioned here in the notes is the amazing way that they coax the bees to stay. They find a swarm in springtime, and lift a palm leaf basket up to reach them. They bees, attracted to the concave shape, climb in. The keepers need to make sure there is a queen present, and then they let the bees calm down for an hour, sprinkling them with water drops to help them relax. Then they bring the basket to the log, where the bees rush in. The keepers literally scoop the bees up by hand and put them in the hive! It’s crazy to see!
Anyway, swipe to read more about it!
