Nature nurtures all things with the wholeness of complete virtue.
It shows the greatest and perfect kindness by giving life to let all things grow and accomplish them with the hastening of harvest.
Therefore, according to ancient custom, nature may seem unkind to regard all beings as a traditional straw dog for sacrifice.
And likewise with a saint, he may seem unkind to regard people as a traditional straw dog for sacrifice.
The space between heaven and earth is like the bellows, it appears empty yet it gives a supply that never fails;
The more it moves, the more it brings forth.
Many words lead to exhaustion.
It is better to center on the true essence within.

A lovely afternoon at the Xi’an Beilin Museum. This museum parades the best of Chinese calligraphy and stone sculpture from various dynasties 🤩 And best of all, I get a photo with the man of my dreams, Confucius! 🤓 #tourist
The brilliant @lorifitzdoodles posted this and I think it hits the spot for me too.
We spend so much time and use incredible amounts of energy trying ‘fit it all in’ to lives which really don’t have a huge amount of spare time and kids thrown into the mix makes that even more of an interesting juggle.
As this spare time gets less and less for me. I’m definitely trying to decide what is that really fills my cup and what really no longer serves me.
For me, I’m programmed to feel that this is a little selfish but when you are recovering from extreme fatigue, you hopefully take some lessons and I’m finally really trying to accept that I just can’t do everything I would like to in a given week.
My constant goals are to give into the chaos and not give the stress in my life the attention it’s asking for.
Thoughts for Monday. 🙏❤️
Leaving Things Alone
by Chuang Tzu
Translation by Thomas Merton
I know about letting the world alone, not interfering.
I do not know about running things. Letting things alone:
so that men will not blow their nature out of shape!
Not interfering, so that men will not be changed into something they are not!
When men do not get twisted and maimed beyond recognition,
when they are allowed to live- the purpose of government is achieved.
Too much pleasure?
Yang has too much influence.
Too much suffering?
Yin has too much influence.
When one of these outweighs the other,
it is as if the seasons came at the wrong times.
The balance of cold and heat is destroyed; the body of man suffers.
Too much happiness, too much unhappiness, out of due time,
men are thrown off balance. What will they do next?
Thoughts run wild. No control.
They start everything and finish nothing.
Here competition begins, here the idea of excellence is born,
and robbers appear in the world.
Now the whole world is not enough reward for the “good”, nor enough punishment for the “wicked”. Since now the world itself is not big enough for reward or punishment.
For the time of the Three Dynasties men have been running in all directions. How can they find time to be human? ////////////////////////////////////// Wow! As usual packed with great wisdom.
Someone shared with me the other day that faith is not knowing and being ok with it.
Balance, yin and yang must be in balance.
or “…it is as if the seasons came at the wrong times.” The balance of cold and heat is the root of healing and longevity.
And balance requires cultivation and maintenance.
We have to be conscious of our bodies, minds and emotion.
And willing to have the courage to and the faith to let things
well enough alone.
Have great day! Unless you have other more interfering plans. :)
“Non si mette in mostra e perciò risplende. Non si afferma e perciò si manifesta. Non si vanta e perciò gli viene dato merito. Non si gloria e perciò viene esaltato.”
When you stop desiring, you stop thinking.
When you stop thinking, you stop generating time.
The illusion of time is what keeps you trapped in a narrative which you confuse for yourself.

New video on what Zen is on my youtube channel. Just hit 300 subscribers lol. My channel may be small but i have a blast making these videos. The creative process of putting on music and writing out the script to try and explain my mind/experiences/things I’ve learned that has transformed my life makes the time seem like it stops yet when i look at the clock it has been hours. Ive never been good with words so i found the secret to authentic communication is to surrender and allow the universe to speak through you. My words may not be good, but they are authentic. And through this, i have had messages with various people online who watched my stuff say it has helped them or simply wanting to share ideas and thoughts with me. What a blessing. I will be going back to making weekly videos after not being able to for 3 months. #youtube#authenticexpression#zen#spirituality#cosmiconion#consciousness#vegan#universe#creativity#easternphilosophy#taoism#daoism#alanwatts#metaphysics#thirdeye#spontaneity#wuwei#buddhamind
Radical Self Care has involved alot of Womb Love this past year. @shaktitemplearts is offering a 2 month journey into the Daoist arts of female sexual Energy! Halos guidance is deep and potent and for sure who i'd be blessed to learn and receive support from! The more I came into deep reverence of divine feminine wisdom, the more I was called to this work and wisdom within myself. The root of all our experiences, the ground from which all our fruit come from. Too many of us are holding trauma and not receiving the care our wombs need. We have more power then we realize. Empowerment and sovereignty through womb love! I self care for the benefit of all beings 💗🌸💗 #shaktitemplearts#femalesexualenergy#daoism#radicalselfcare#pickme ! #divinefeminine#womblove#yoni#jadeegg#jadetempleonline
✨1st Verse, Tao Te Ching✨
"The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao. The name that can be named is not the eternal name. The Tao is both named and nameless. As nameless it is the origin of all things; as named it is the mother of 10,000 things. Ever desireless, one can see the mystery; ever desiring, one sees only manifestations. And the mystery itself is the doorway to all understanding." ✨
Our true nature is vast vast spaciousness. We cannot be named and cannot be tamed. We are the immortal light of Love.🔥♥️
My philosophy professor in undergrad used to talk about “cooperating with the world.” At the time, I didn’t fully understand what she meant and thought this was sort of positioning yourself to settle for less instead of trying to effect change.
Now, many years and many more experiences later, I think I see what she was trying to communicate. It is about realizing that we are all moved by forces so much larger than ourselves, some of which most of us don’t even realize. Metaphorically speaking, you and either position yourself against these forces and be blown over by them, or you can position yourself within them and glide along with them. It is about finding the proper balance within. When you should resist in life, you resist. When you should accept, you accept.
