One thing I look forward to reading over the summer is @cupofjo Motherhood Around the World series. Learning about the cultures, traditions and daily rituals and routines of moms in far-flung parts of the world is fascinating. The essay on an American mom (and ex-New Yorker) raising her two children in Provence makes me want to pack it all up and jet off to Europe☝️right about now.
Little monkey 🐒 but so happy ✨
This little lady made some of THE BEST tamales I’ve ever had. Pro tip: tamales you buy from a lady selling them on the side of the road will always be better than store bought, whether you’re in Mexico or California. ..
Since we got back from Puerto Vallarta I feel like I’ve just hit the ground running. It seems like every time we travel, we end up moving right after we get back, and this time is the same! We just got the keys to our new house and I couldn’t be more excited to move!!! Our new place is so charming with a fireplace and the biggest backyard! Its going to be so nice to finally be settled in one place for once. I love decorating and am going to have SO much fun with this place, it’s so cute!!! The backyard is totally bare, I’m so excited to work on it and make it our own little oasis. ..
P.s. this was taken with my iPhone8+ because 90 degree heat with 90% humidity is no fun when you’re carrying heavy camera gear around. I have a few photos with my Nikon, but most of what you’ll see the next few days will be from my phone. We were celebrating our one year wedding anniversary and I really wanted to enjoy our trip without ‘working’ too much. I can’t recommend this enough to all of you travel bloggers/photographers out there. Sometimes our brains really need a break from work and social media and I can’t begin to tell you just how refreshed and rested I feel both mentally, emotionally and creatively.
Hi! 😊🖐 I am Amanda from 🇸🇪 a.k.a @destinationroamer and will be taking over GLT for a few days. #gltlove I have been part of this community for almost 2 years now so I am stoked about this opportunity!
I travel full time and have visited like 20 countries or so in the last 6 months alone. 🏃♀️😄 I post pics from my adventures almost daily. New day, new bed, new scenery and new people.
I can't believe how I started as an ultra budget traveller when I was 18 and today I am 33 and am able to make my living from my passion to travel the world🔥
This picture is from Havana, Cuba - on top of a 50s car. 📸❤ I have a close relationship to Cuba and it's one of my favorite countries in the world! (I have visited about 10 Caribbean islands/countries and I almost like them in the exact order of their size - yes, the bigger the island the more exotic!) The first visit was 15 years ago, and I have visited frequently since and I also lived and studied at the #universityofhavana 6-7 years ago.
If you are looking to take #spanishclass this is were you want to go. Most people know that Cubans are quite serious about their education and I think anyone will learn decent Spanish in 3 months there.
How many of you already know Spanish and unless it's your mother-tounge, how did you learn the language? 🇪🇸🇨🇺
▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
🇬🇧 Beautiful Rhein and Castles ❤️ On the right-hand side: Surrounded by water, built in 1327 on an island in the middle of the Rhein by Ludwig the Bavarian, Pfalzgrafenstein Castle near the village Kaub served as a toll station until 1866. On the left-hand side: Gutenfels Castle (Kaub Castle) built in 1220. #beautifulgermany#topgermanyphoto
Typical #Amsterdam shot: a girl, the canals, a bike (not mine) and some flowers.
I have a confession to make: I’ve never learned how to properly ride a bike. 🙈 Now I’m way too scared to try learning and I’m stuck walking everywhere.
I’ve still managed to appreciate the city thou 😉
I always try to look on the bright side of life, but sometimes it's difficult. My days are not always happy. But that’s okay.❤️🙌🏼
• Bye San Diego 😭 • I love this place. From the moment I landed I knew "this was it". It's the perfect combination of city and nature. I feel so happy here, so at home. 🌴🌴🌴 I just know I have to visit soon again! 😘 .
This photo is of the iconic Hotel Del Coronado. But it is just one of many beautiful places here. Mission/Pacific Beach & La Jolla are amazingly beautiful aswell. And Gaslamp Quarters is a cool area in Downtown with beautiful houses and 5th is probably the best street anywhere in America for nightlife (great bars and restaurants along the street). I love NYC too but as example there it is more spread out. Here it is easy to go barhopping and my place was only 2 blocks away from all the action by Market & 5th. As if all this wasn't enough it could possibly be the best place in the world for Taco Tuesdays 🌮❤
One of the cities we were most impressed was definitely blue-washed mountain village of #chefchaouen or 'Blue city' as it is known nowadays in the tourist circles. 💙It's definitely one of the most prettiest and picturesque cities in Morocco. First thing you have to do here is just relax and wander all over the gorgeous medina which eventually ends up getting lost among all those blue, steep narrow streets. Don't worry, wandering here is completely safe and the people aren't that pushy either. You can't help yourself not to fall in love with all those blue and white lime-washed buildings, blue steps, flower buckets, balconies etc. 'Chef' is special in every way, it took our breath away and has totally lived up to our expectations. 💫#lifewedaretolive

It may be Wednesday morning in Philadelphia but I’m still in a Saturday in Greece state of mind. 🙂 I love this timeless racerback ribbed dress that can be worn at the beach or dressed up for drinks. It’s @frenchconnection_us and on major sale! Outfit details via the link in my bio. .

Who wants to ride the positivity wave with me? 🌊• •
My positivity towards life might annoy one or the other, but tbh I couldn’t care less. 😜 I’m not going to apologize for being too happy, too proud or too carefree. 🎉 That does not mean my life is perfect...but I just chose not to get consumed by the negative aspects. 🙇🏼♀️•
What do you guys think? 💭 Do you see a difference in your daily life when you decide to focus on the good instead of the bad? ♥️ I’d love to hear your opinion and experiences on this topic 💬
I fell in love all over again with southern Sicily this summer. I had the opportunity to really take my time and savour every delicious moment. Which of course lead to new discoveries and slow moments of profound delight. That’s what slow travel is all about. Slow is the new luxury because these moments are priceless.

One of my biggest dreams after going to New York Fashion Week was attending another part of Fashion Month and it’s finally coming TRUE 😭😭

Almería, mainland Spain's most southeasterly province, isn't top of most people's lists when visiting Spain for the first time. Other areas normally beat it to the punch such as Malaga, Barcelona, Madrid, the Costas and the islands.
However, there is something truly special and raw about Spain's driest province, and we made it our home in 2012.
It has bustling cities, thriving towns, sprawling beaches, picturesque white villages, oodles of castles, cathedrals, Moorish architecture, natural parks, a desert, mountains, valleys, forests, great little bars and restaurants and of course some of the friendliest people you could ever meet. Oh and countless movies have been filmed here too!
Have you been to Almeria yet?
• Flashback Friday • This pic was taken like 3 weeks ago but the one million impressions later makes it feel like a long time ago... In my world 3 weeks sometimes feels like 3 months... or 3 years!! Crazy, right? Since this pic was taken I went to Monument Valley, Arches, Grand Canyon, Valley of Fire, Las Vegas, Mammoth Lakes, Yosemite, Monterey, Big Sur, LA, San Diego, San Francisco and Chicago. I have hiked, seen beautiful landscapes, bought a drone, went to a boxing game, met tons of interesting people, played pool in a shady bar with new friends, stayed in 4 star hotels, stayed in hostels, ubered, hitchhiked... 🤷♀️ Currently in the airport on my way back to San Diego 🌴🌴🌴
• Chicago flare • What's good Chitown!? Hit me up with your favorite spots, I am bored out here. Have you been to Chicago - what did YOU think!? *** Update: Got a flight outta here today. I thought it would be similar to NYC somewhat but there's zero soul here. The only place on my 6 week trip throughout the US and Canada that I wasn't feeling. **Opinion based on visiting these 9 places/neighborhoods: The Loop, Wrigleyville, River North, Old Town, Greektown, Chinatown, Lincoln Park, Wicker Park, Oak St Beach. Out of all these the Loop and River Walk was worth checking out but get's tired after a few hours. The area around Damen CTA station was cool but since it's so small it gets boring soon. #truthgram#uncensored
•That feeling 🏔✌• My favorite part about San Francisco was renting a bicycle and cross the Golden Gate bridge and enjoy the landscapes and a nice lunch in the little town where you catch the ferry back. I also enjoyed the beautiful architecture and the pretty houses from a century ago. SF dislikes: the constant WIND 🌬🌬🌬
• This street is curvier than I am 😄 • Can you believe that this is a real street in San Francisco? It's the city of the 7 hills but in reality the whole city is just a bunch of more or less steep hills. Needless to say, I Uber myself around between all the spots that I am shooting. 📸 Register Uber code 9nqrjx for FREE ride (new users only). 🚕 Enjoy!!! 😊 #dronephotography#mavicair
