I’m a strong believer in treating ourselves when we deserve it. It’s Monday sooo ... ice cream🍦over everything! .
But really: sometimes we have to do things we don’t necessarily want to do. For example, I don’t really love to Monday (verb). Especially on days like this. Today, I won’t come up for air until about 9pm which means I’ll miss putting my princess down to sleep, probably eat a Snickers for dinner, and drag myself to bed with a crick in my neck from falling asleep on the couch with my laptop. And I’m not real thrilled about that, ya know? I also don’t love the dentist, cleaning my floors, or disciplining said 2 year old princess. But junk’s gotta get done and there’s no one better to check off my to-list than ME! .
Because, real quick, my Monday to-dos are all things God has entrusted to me. And if He trusted me with it, then He designed me to tackle it. I could camp out on this topic for a hot minute but Instagram will cut me off so let’s keep it simple. You didn’t HAPPEN upon the things you love. You’re not good at what you do by coincidence. God actually CREATED you for this. But not only that, he created you to THRIVE at it. .
So what if we all just stopped hating Mondays because we decided that Mondays are the day we get to start a fresh new week. What if we all just decided to R O C K a Monday and see our tasks and appointments as new opportunities to walk in the supernatural calling God has brought us to?! What if we just decided that we don’t work for Mondays - Mondays work for us?! So today, work hard at something and GIRL GO TREAT YOURSELF! Ice cream over everything! 🍦🎉🍦
Now, how many times can I say “Monday” in a post?? 🙈🤷🏼♀️😂

Kinda funny when you hear the same phrase over and over in different locations isn’t it? I was reading a book and read this and now last night We we’re watching a Hallmark movie and heard it again. The phrase is “What would you attempt to do if you knew you couldn’t fail?” I remember back when I was a little kid and my papa would push me on the swing set. I’d say papa higher...higher. But he’d always say “not too high now” he was afraid I’d fall and get hurt, but not me, I was fearless. 😎 Of course I remember a few times when I fell and I always got back up and started swinging again never allowing that one little fall stop me from enjoying swinging. Isn’t it crazy how we’re born fearless and as we go through life we’re so stuck in the safe zone we wouldn’t dare to step out on a limb because we may fail? But do we really fail if we keep getting back on and trying again and again and again if need be? Each time we learn something new right?
So my question to you what would you try today if you knew you couldn’t fail?
Happy Monday Everybody! 😁
