I have a love hate relationship with surfing, in that I like the idea of being able to surf, but hate the fact that I'm absolutely shit at it 😂😂. Legit the hardest thing I've ever tried to learn in my life, but worth it when you spend 2hrs getting the shit kicked out of you then catch that one wave that makes it all worth it.
Ps. I'm talking like I'm surfing monster waves or something, but literally my little 3ft baby waves feel like 10ft sometimes haha.

Lucky for me, my youngest client was happy to volunteer himself to be used as an essential piece of workout equipment; the bench press.

As you can see a toddler provides an excellent alternative to a Barbell Bench press if you’re strapped for time & equipment.

It was a win-win.

All exercises can be replaced when it comes to building solid strength and a good physique. 
BUT......the deadlift is one of if not the best exercises for building muscle and strength. Seen by many as a dangerous exercise but There’s no such thing as a dangerous exercise only poor coaching/technique. 
lifting things up off the ground is one of the most natural movement patterns out there. 
Give them a try. Take some time to learn the proper technique and you won’t be disappointed .

Over the moon to have hit the 150kg feel like this another huge mile stone

Back in late August as I neared the end of the Vegas Challenge and I was at my lowest weight and body fat I hit 1 RM of 140kg and failed on several attempts at 145kg which was my old PR. .
Since then I've hit each of out Monday Squat sessions which are part of our normal class down @clydecoastcrossfit
.
Through consistent training and dieting I’ve managed to increase my PR from August by 10kg and my overall PR by 5kg but more importantly am now in the 150 club
.
Huge thanks to my coach @kevinwesson I put my absolute faith in his programming and it delivered the results.

Hey guys 🙋🏽‍♂ So 9 days to go until my photo shoot so thought I’d run a little countdown until then, updating you with my weight, training/nutrition plans, photos etc. 
Yesterday I weighed 160.8lbs and today I’m up slightly to 161.9lbs. Still grinding away with PSMF since Wednesday when I had my last refeed. 
It has been really challenging at times, however my WHY has kept me strongly focused and the results are so worth it! Tomorrow I’ll post a photo update showing the fat loss around my lower abdominal and hip area.

At least once a week I feel like iam too old for this shit. It's not the body that struggles. I survive on 5 - 6 hours sleep a night, 2 kids, relationship for 13 - 15 years not sure🤔 anymore😊, 40th looming over my head.....
Then the thought process kicks in, get the fu#k out of bed, get shit done. That's the first words that my brain utters in my head. It's a mental game this thing we call life. I didn't get that way over night, but I know I owe it to myself to be consistent with anything I do. 
Your lifestyle ain't about the food you eat, its about the habits you create. The rubbish you fill your mind with. The TV show you watch, the walk you dont do, the kind word you dont say. The good morning to a total stranger.

I had Hodgkins Lymphoma when I was 13. A tumor was removed from my leg and I received radio therapy..Been in remission since 2001. Hodgkins Lymphoma is a blood cancer affecting the lymphatic system. Approx 600 Australians per year are diagnosed..Some good friends of mine have been diagnosed with this illness recently and are battling through like champions. Spare a thought about Lymphoma Cancers. Diagnosis and treatment are difficult life changing experiences still costing people the ultimate price. Funding leads to better treatments and research into potential cures..I will be working hard for the donations. Sett up a gofundme page. Last year (2017) I raised $4300 dollars for Lymphoma Australia, a wonderful organization helping people with Lymphoma cancers. Looking to do the same again.Thanks for the support. Whilst on stage you are judged for your physique (which is something that anyone that steps on stage should be fully aware of FYI! )
Your judged to the person next to you and coming down to guidelines and generally the judges personal preference, we are placed. Great, I am aware of this and completely ok with this process, its what I sign up for. What is hard is when you step off stage and everyone has an opinion on how you “need” to look to do better/aim higher/change federations, now remember this is “their opinion and preference” and their not always wrong but EVERYONE has something to say (I have been guilty of telling people this too!).

I have been told over the years to build bigger glutes, hammies, bigger quads, widen my back, build my shoulders, reduce my quad size, my shoulders are too wide, work on obliques, don’t work on obliques etc you should build to compete in figure etc etc etc.

It can be a real head F**K when someone tells you one thing and other tells you something else. Point being.. These are peoples OWN opinions.
I spent so much time “Bulking/Building” muscle based off what other people told me I needed to work on to be successful and as someone who builds muscle relatively quickly (sorry!) I felt like a nugget (I love this word haha). I naturally am a very short & petite person and all the muscle gain as exciting as it is, had left me feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. I was struggling to fit my clothes and find it hard to buy clothes now as most things don’t fit around my back or hips but their saggy around my waist and things like that. As much as I love my muscle in some ways I also hate it and at times I can feel uncomfortable when people stare at me in the gym

People are always going to tell you what to build and how you “need” to look… well don’t listen to them (even if they mean well) train to how you WANT your body, how you WANT to see yourself on the daily and how you WANT to feel. Don’t change your body to suit a federation or anyone else unless that’s what your happy with.

Don’t ask me why, I wasn’t thinking 😂cracked each one in the pan with the sausage, added spinach and black pepper and when cooked, 2 syns of balsamic glaze. Cooked using @frylighthq of course!
