Big views in the #baviaanskloof ! But the star of the show yesterday was the giant #roosterkoek (grid cake) fresh from the fire, dripping with butter and honey and a pot of #moerkoffie#coffee to wash it all down. Eaten in the shade of a giant old wild fig tree...Perhaps the best lunch of 2018 yet!

Day 34:- I've arrived in Bratislava in a tired state after a late night out celebrating at the Donau Canal party last night. Leaving Vienna along the river led me straight through the middle of a nudest area that stretched for a couple of km. I thought it best not to have my phone out so I only realised when I made it through that I had to go about half way back through again to the turn I missed! Red in the face so I was! I found a delicious vegan restaurant in the city and then started to contemplate where I might be able to camp wild...because there aren't many campsites on the route. In the end, I realised the city has a highly rated hostel for less than a tenner for the night! So I'm chilling with a beer now and hopefully I get a good sleep for a long cycle tomorrow.
At Bratislava, Slovakia.
There is rubbish everywhere in India. It’s heartbreaking. To give people their due, they do burn piles of the stuff at the roadside or outside their house to dispose of some of it. Nothing quite like the smell of burning crisp packets in the morning 🙄
All fires we’ve seen have been small and contained. Yet in the last week, we’ve seen evidence that suggests some of these fires get a little wild... .
We call this series ‘The Cindergarden’
Swipe 👉 to see why it's on 🔥. Hard to believe this is where I was 7 years ago at this very moment.
This was halfway through a 420 mile bike tour crossing Tasmania, Australia from north to south. Water was a little colder than it may appear, but considering it's proximity to Antarctica, it wasn't so bad!
The most surprisingly, beautiful place I've been lucky enough to visit.
Thank you Aunty Kris and Sealys Cycles for helping make this possible!

HOME! We’ll never forget the day of our arrival, it was so special to finally fall into the arms of all the loved ones. We still can’t comprehend our journey: We really cycled from Switzerland to Australia. Incredible.
Thank you all so much for all the messages, we’ll try to get through them and answer soon:)
I met Brett along the beach as I was cycling 🚴♂️ around the island looking for Sea Urchins... he pointed out a location where I could find them... but they were too deep for me to grab without a snorkel. I managed to get one and Brett wanted to taste it... so I cracked open the Sea Urchin and we ate it raw. He was really impressed by it's salty, creamy, sweet flavor. 👍🏽 So we got to chatting about food when he tells me that his partner owns Ciao Pizza... a wood fired pizzeria on the island. 🍕🔥😋 While I was searching for Sea Urchins... I came across my favorite food... OYSTERS! 😲 So I asked Brett if he wanted to go Oyster hunting with me and have one of my famous Oyster beach feasts... he jumped at the opportunity. ✊🏽 So we went out today and picked 42 oysters from the rocks in just about twenty minutes and then I showed Brett how to open them and shared my favorite toppings. He was so impressed by the amazing flavor of the oysters that he promised to name a pizza after me... so next time you come to Bocas Del Toro go look for Javi's Pizza - made with Oysters & Prosciutto... available Saturdays & Sunday at Ciao Pizza. 👌🏽 #touringlife#touring#bikelifestyle#adventurecycling#bikepacking#cycletouring#biketouring#bicyclelifestyle#bicycletouring#nomadadventures#nomadiclife#cicloviajeros#cicloturismo#comida#foodtour#foodporn#food#oysters#bocasdeltoro#panama#oysterfeast#pizza#oysterpizza#woodfiredpizza
The ride across Jakarta was the nightmare I imagined it would be but it was made easier by following an excellent GPS route on the Strava app. The photo from above of the traffic was taken on the morning of my ride. #jakarta#indonesia#cycletouring#cycling

Asique gracias! Se vienen cosas increíbles.
🔸After two months in Te Puke, we are finally on the road. Yesterday we left our caravan, our home. We spent 2 beautiful months learning about kiwi fruit, meeting lots of new people, luli's brother joined us, and we were able to save a bit. Thanks millions. New things are coming and we couldn't be more excited.
It was an intense but beautiful day of cycling. We crossed the top of the pass for the Middle Atlas mountains in Morocco today at 2230 meters. Now we are going to rest a bit after pushing our bikes up and over in the snow. We want to cycle the high Atlas mountains but we will have to look at road conditions and see if there is snow there since they are even higher in elevation. We may be heading towards the true desert a little early!
New record! Our cycling gang was 8 people at times during the last few days.
We started out our trips as four solo cyclists and two separate couples.
But with only one main road going south in Baja, I've met a lot of cyclists along the way.
