W is about connection. Things that seem apart and separate come together. Metal. Cables. Spokes. Shadows. They are in proportion to each other and reflect how I see the world. If we allow ourselves to see connection the illusion of separation dissipates.
The foregoing is the introduction to an essay I wrote about a book I made called W. This double exposure I recently made, and when I say recently I mean last night, after a powerful conversation with the friend I made the book with, is a perfect reflection of its message. (Note: What you are seeing are two different bicycles, one in Brooklyn and one in Manhattan. If you look at the image below this one, you’ll see one of them.)

Today, I just decided to ride. No power meter; no heart rate monitor just me and bike. This reminded me of being a kid and the freedom you had.
My earliest bike memory is my yellow BMX, yellow mags, seat and blue pads on the bars and my mum teaching me to ride by pushing me down the road past my grans house and then letting go! Wtf 😂😂😩🤷🏾♂️ What is your earliest bike memory? ☺️ 🚲
