First legit trail run! The girls and I were late to our pack walk so we decided to do a real trail run to try and catch up. Holy smokes, running through the woods is nothing like road running! Everything from the arches of my feet to my hips is sore. (It also didn’t help that I had to dig my heels in and prevent Lily from dragging all three of us down the rocky hills.) We reached the cave at the 2 mile mark and could hear voices so we stopped and waited for our group to come around the corner (Cobie’s knees were at their limit, my legs were burning, and Lily could have run another 5 miles through the woods.) We stayed with the group for the rest of the pack walk and I’m so proud of how Lily’s leash manners were shining! She didn’t even freak out when the group stopped on the stairs and she bumped right into Summit’s butt (see video - lol thanks @brynichole for organizing another great hike!).
Enjoyed a splendid fall #bikeride with my boys on the #CVNP#towpath . 10 miles took us to Boston trailhead and back to Station Road Bridge, seeing turtles, #prayingmantis , and other natural delights all along the way. It was great hanging with these critters all weekend.
