What an amazing day of sunshine!
I've tackled more garden work. It's never ending & I've stood in the 'just emptied this morning' green bin 3 times to squash everything down...
I also got a DM asking if my name was Frank.
It's not...it's Becky. It's on my profile. 👊
Here's me, just before I added pampas grass to the Autumnal wreath on the door.
I hope I won't get a message asking if I'm into swinging...🤔🙃
Flowers picked today from Tori’s field, the write up about Toris yard is now on the blog. It looks like it might be a wet weekend, obviously no complaints here 😊I am going to work in the greenhouse, I am going to get rid of the cucumbers and the failed melons and start work on the autumn/ winter crops. I have Aztec broccoli, 4 coloured beetroots, winter lettuce, fennel and lastly 2 types of radish all going to be planted direct in the soil 😅 hope you have a good weekend 😊#grownnotflown
Finally she gets it!! My 3 year old had a wonderful revelation today. Everyday my girls and I check out our garden together and all the beautiful flowers, admiring them, watching them grow, picking some for cut flowers and today Pearl said -OH wow it’s (the flower) still there! I said -yes they last longer if you leave them on the plant darling. She paused for a moment to think then shouted OH YEAH... wow😯 ...she continued to caress the flower. My little Pearl has a tendancy to pick and destroy EVERY single flower she possibly can. She just really loves picking flowers. It’s cute for a while. Fingers crossed she finally gets it and leaves some of our flowers for the bees (and me) 😉
🖼️ They’re as pretty as a picture, and it will come as no surprise that Anemone 'Bicolor' has inspired artists but not poets. Those big white blooms with raspberry red, ring-shaped markings are too pretty for words! 👩🎨 #GardenersWorld#MondayMotivation#cutflowers
