This series of close-up photos shows how easy it is to modify a stock Glock safety plunger to a better profile and surface finish for a smoother trigger pull. The stock plungers and many aftermarket one have a angled portion and a sharp lip to the flat top. I prefer the entire plunger head to be domed and highly polished to reduce friction when the trigger bar slides over it. I remove the plunger and chuck it up in a hand drill. Using the drill on low speed in spin the plunger on sand paper or a polishing stone until the sharp angle has been rounded evenly. Then using finer and finer sand paper I start to polish all sides of the plunger. After 1500 grit I move to a polishing cloth and put a mirror image on the head of the plunger before reinstalling in the firearm. This little five minute refinishing job significantly smooth the pull on most Glocks even ones with aftermarket plungers. The plunger spring is also very important to the feel and weight of the trigger, the lighter the better basically. Let me know if I should post more technically orientated posts. #builtnotbought#customglock#amaturegunsmith#tunedtrigger#3lbtrigger#improvingperfection#polishedinternals#qualitywork#unseenpartsmakeadifference#safetyplunger#glocksafety#glock#gunnut#gunsofinstagram#howto
