Having completed a full review of the past 6 months.. there’s a few tweaks I need to make. Kieser strength and conditioning will now go from x2 sessions per week to 3. Swim squads will stay at 3 (x2 speed and strength and x1 technique) Running will continue to build with The Maffetone Method and push to 50-60km per week. In terms of the bike and with winter now upon us, I’ve decided to work from home. To that end, there will be greater focus on bike speed and endurance with an 8 week TrainerRoad specialty phase program. My low carb lifestyle and burning fat as my primary fuel source will continue but will now include a more dialled in state of ketosis and detailed fuelling plan according to the intensity of my workouts. A dexa body scan will determine my body goals but I’ll be looking to drop to under 10% body fat without comprising lean muscle which needs to develop and grow. My current race plans are: Ironman 70.3 World Championships, ITU World Championships and finish the year off with Ironman Western Australia. It all starts again from next Thursday ✊ let’s do this 🤙 ______________________________________#triathlete#curranz#kieseraustralia#kiesertraining#gotribal#i4coaching#swimbikerun#ironmanracing#ironmantraining#70point3worlds#triathlon#enduranceathlete#racereview#embraceyourself
Ironman No8 done and dusted. Again, lots of learnings to take away. I won’t go into a full report. I’ll just say I spent quite a bit of my precious race time visiting portaloos 🤪. Anyway, probiotics have helped and my tummy is back to normal. Thanks to everyone for your support out on the course and those online, it means a lot and keeps me going. Time now for a few weeks off to relax and enjoy my 50th birthday before I get back into it and train my ass off in preparation for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships South Africa 🇿🇦, followed by the ITU World Championships on the Gold Coast. 2018 is still a massive year for me with lots more to come. I might even visit WA again 😂✊_____________________________________
‘The’magic’ berries strike again - now they’re proven to supercharge fat burning during exercise in both men and women by an average of 27% and up to 55%!’ Taking CurraNZ for a week means you improve your fat burning rates to a degree that would normally only be achieved after two hours of cycling a day for up to a month. Check out the latest news via the link in my bio above. If you’re interested in seeing what the berries can do for you, I can arrange purchase from Australia -
❤️M A N C H E S T E R ❤️my motherland! Throwing it back to that one time 6 months ago when I ran Manchester half marathon in 1.35!!! I think the runners race high lasted at least a month 😂! Only 3 more sleeps before Manchester marathon relay and I honestly can’t wait! What I’ve learnt lately is Marathon training is so different than half marathon training! I’m now a snail 🐌 and haven’t run a 6.10 minute mile since then, but I’d never run 20 miles until Sunday 🙏🏼! I have the utmost respect for marathoners as it’s so bloody tough! I thought my legs might drop off on Monday, but did get out and do 6 miles yesterday after lots of icing and resting and @curranzsport berries 😍! I used them loads last year and know they helped with performance but also the dreaded DOMS! After last week, I’m back on them- taking no chances during taper time! Do have the worst maranoia though- is this keeping anyone else up all night 😂? #runningfamily#manchestermarathon#londonmarathon#vlm#reasontorun
