@clairebearlondon how much pan do need we again ? 😋🥖 🍞 Cannot believe our incredible trip with @visitbarcelona has already come to an end. While we are on our way back to London, we are already planning our next trip to Barcelona, most likely with our partners, so we can do all the romantic things 😘❤️ #visitbarcelona -

I’ve heard that Casa Vicens was decorated with tiles simply because its owner had a tile factory and used his house as an advertisement for the product 🙂

Vikings meets Game of Thrones at the Vasa Museum.
Vasa, was A 5 story 17th century Swedish warship that sank on it's maiden voyage. Unlike the Titanic it wasn't that far out from the shore.
There were 300 soldiers and 145 sailors. 30 people still died. Why did it sink? It was unevenly built and couldn't correct itself in the water with heavy windgusts and 64 canons aboard that day.
One of my favourite childhood memories is dropping by the newspaper & magazine shop to buy newspaper for my father while he waited in the car. On special days he’d let me buy anything I wanted with the balance. Sometimes I got free sweets from the mamak uncle on top of the balance and that kinda made my day. I’d usually choose sweets (cokelat teloq burung!) or bubblegums but as I got smarter I learned to save up the balance to buy my own favourite comics & magazines: Bambino, Bujal & Dewan Pelajar. Raise your hand if you’re from my era 🙋🏻♀️ #80skidandproudofit
👌🏻📍St. Petersburg was an interesting city to visit - it has a very particular blend of the past and the present.
It is quite fascinating how much locals know about their city 😲We felt like whoever we spoke to knew everything about the historical figures, events and the history of streets, buildings, monuments, palaces and churches👏🏻 The city is breathing with history and you hear a lot of pride in the way people talk about it 🙌🏻 Our next stop - Moscow 🇷🇺 🚅
Leytonstone📍(I know, a bit of a schlep but trust me - this one is SO worth it!) OK GUYS THIS IS A BIG ONE😍 This week the amazing people down at @thebirdsleytonstone invited me down to try their brand spanking new vegan menu. 🌱 🏠 The pub itself is covered in fairy lights and quuirky additions - it's also really bright and airy - perfect for working during the day before getting a boozy pub meal at night! 👩🏼🍳 Next thing that struck me is the staff - they're all super friendly and chatty, the chef Kiefer came out for a chat and the manager Rich sat with with me my whole meal and we had a natter about life, beer and their vision behind making such a bad ass vegan menu!
Ok now for the FOOD. This is a serious gem in the vegan junk food scene guys, I ain't lying:
🍔The beef burger is far from just another vegan burger - this soy patty was cooked to perfection! Incredibly meaty texture and crispy chargrilled outside, topped with creamy cheese sauce and smokey bacon
🍗The chickn popcorn bites were another winner. The seitan texture was absolutely bang on and coated with a crispy, salty batter, paired with vegan mayo dip
🧀 The truffle mac n cheese is genuinely one of the best I've ever had (and I don't throw these compliments out willy nilly)! It combines a perfect creamy texture that wasn't dry or clumpy, with a cheesy sour and nutty flavour that wasn't too sweet - the cherry on the cake was the caramelised bacon bits on top!
🍗 The cauliflower bites really blew me away as I don't expect a huge deal from battered cauliflower but the batter itself had SO much flavour!! 🍺 All of this pengness was washed down with some local London-brewed vegan beers that are CLEARLY LABELLED - this is sooo rare and a massive help so definitely earned brownie points!! This is a place where the management and chefs have clearly put a lot of thought into making good quality vegan options that are absolutely packed with flavour and don't just pay lip service to the classics but take them to the next level. Massive respect and thank you for an amazing meal 🙏🏼💚
Don’t do what I did, which is to go up to Nice Chateau and then walk around saying “I want to see the chateau, where’s the chateau?” every 2 minutes...there is no chateau 🤷🏻♀️😂, but there is a very gorgeous, panoramic view of the Nice coastline to make up for it ✨ #touristfail#nicechateau#cotedazur#frenchriviera#nicefrance
When you travel to the new city, do you have a plan to explore all insta-famous places first and foremost, or do you roam the streets allowing yourself to stumble upon new places and cafes as you go? I’m not really talking about famous landmarks, but mostly these little corners and cafes which were made famous through instagram. 🤔 I used to do such an excessive planning using instagram - saving, writing down and stressing about visiting all places other people did here on social media. Only after I ruined one of my trips this way, I realised that this obsession with insta-famous stuff isn’t gonna bring any joy at all, and I will end up with nothing but a copycat content. I mean, there is nothing bad in taking a photo of that pretty floral display everyone is raving about, but at the same time please don’t let it turn into an obsession! 🙏🏻 I still do think that Instagram is a perfect source for inspiration and for travel planning though, but there has to be a balance. Do you agree?
💔 You know what is deeply sad about this? What tourists may not know is that they are inadvertently promoting the vicious abuse of horses who are literally getting worked to death on their behalf. I personally keep witnessing how tired these horses (not inly in Kraków, in NYC as well and other places) get throughout the day, resting on one or another leg... #animalabuse must be stopped.
