Meet our charismatic Sambinha Doreen! 🤩 "Samba to me is a fun way to break up my stressful work week, meet new people and learn new and empowering dance skills (that are totally useable on ANY dancefloor! 😉 ). I absolutely love learning more about the Brazilian culture. It’s also great exercise – the kind where you’re having so much fun you don’t even realise what a workout it is!
The Sambinhas of @escolade_sambainternacional are a very special group of ladies, each unique in their own way, and I feel deeply honoured to be a part of it. We are incredibly supportive of each other, both on and off the dancefloor. So very grateful!"
We are grateful to have you @dory1302 🤗 Stay tuned for the next Sambinhas profile!!

Cultural diversity is something I can't be quiet about.. respecting differences and learning to understand a person background is one way we can appreciate people as a whole. In our society I see clear lines of prejudice just because of lack of understanding of where a person may come from- I have many friends from all different backgrounds, especially multicultural backgrounds. Segregation is our biggest enemy in learning to respect and be more open to one another- and to except a new way of seeing and experiencing life with each other. I'm passionate about this, why??? Because expansion of knowledge and ones heart is only limited to the people you surround yourself with and the judgement that you hold tight too.. So just let go of prejudice and fear.. because that's all it really is at the end of the day. 🖤✨#culturaldiversity#nomoresegregation
Helena Norberg-Hodge. What an incredible woman. Helena travelled to the Tibetan plateau at the age of 30 to put her linguistic skills to work. She saw how Western economic markets were transforming traditional societies, not only by way of shifting how people engaged with the market but how the local cultures were likewise being affected. Her book, Ancient Futures, describes her years of experiences in Tibet, while touching on essential issues of monocultures, homogenous economies and the social and environmental impact of globalisation throughout the world. She is also the founder and director of Local Futures, an initiative to advocate and support the return of more localised economies. Read her inspiring interview in the new Dumbo Feather publication. It's sure to bring warmth to your heart. #dumbofeather#helenanorberghodge#localfutures#localeconomy#culturaldiversity#sustainableliving#sustainableculture
