Well vacation is over and very thankful that with my extra income I could afford to go. I love that I can go and spend some quality time with the husband and unwind and unplug. There are times that we just need to put our phones and computers down and reconnect with the outside world and relax. If there is one thing I learned while on this journey is take time for yourself so you can grow to be a better person not only for you but for everyone around you.

Yesterday I was hiking on lava, this lava was called pahoe-hoe lava rock, it was about 3000 years old. When the lava first forms and it cools down, they form what's called cooling cracks. Sometimes the cracks are tiny, and sometimes they're very wide, like this one in the photo. 🇪🇨

Living my best life with my boys. We had decided to not have any wireless connection to the “outside” world so we could really relax and really enjoy our time. Haha. But, in true Delaine McNeil fashion, some important business came up and we had to purchase the WiFi package for one day. We were supposed to close on our new fixer-upper while we were gone, but there was a delay from the title company because it’s a foreclosure. Now, the closing is next week when I’m out of town again. I have taken so many pictures and videos over the past few days, and I’m probably going to hijack your feed pretty soon. Yesterday we were in St. Maarten and today we’re in San Juan. Tomorrow, we’ll be in Haiti. I’ll be adding a bunch of stories shortly, but our tour is about to start, so follow along there! Thanks for all the messages, and I’ll answer them soon. .
With 79 days to go until the 2019 Grand Round the World Cruise departs, here is our #WorldCruiseCountdown stop 12: Auckland, New Zealand.
Did you know that Auckland’s second name is the City of Sails?
Featuring two major harbours and surrounded by endless water vistas, it’s no surprise that Auckland is a magnet for sailing enthusiasts. Adding to this is the fact that the city boasts the world’s highest boat ownership per capita – with over 135,000 vessels currently registered – leaving no doubt as to why its alias is the ‘City of Sails’.
